WotLK Plate dps suggestion

So after being away for 8 months and then some, i've decided to go back and get back in the game. So here's my question- which plate dps pulls the most damage in raids nowadays?
I'm proficient at playing most classes, but i'm going for plate now since they tend to have the best visually appealing gear sets, and i'd make that character BIS through donations.
So please, tell me which plate dps pulls the most dps nowadays, since i'm itching to play again.

Def not Rets. Warrs and Fdks are pretty much the same altho SM Warr > Fdk anytime. Unholy isn't very hot but it's fun and useful (boosts disease damage, aoe magic damage boost, aoe slow and other utilities).

Can you pleae give numbers of how a Smourne Warrior is better than a FDK? As a FDK player I find this comment disrespectful. Also, a good ret can give sorta a fight to good warriors/fdks.

As a FDK, sometimes I do 21k to 25k dps depending on how is the 25 raid composition while a smourne warrior pretty much have the same output they don't win all the time. Far from what I've experienced, I've lost in 3 out of 12 bosses in ICC (Yes, fdks do less in LK because of aoe, which depends on which kind of FDK we're talking aswell). But if you talk about 2 experienced players, it's a really funny fight and NO, warriors don't win all the fights.

I've also seen rets doing 19k-20k dps, and it was awesome because those guys proved rets are still viable if you try hard enough. Same for rogues doing 20k-22k dps in ICC (Sustained).

On-topic: It's up to you what to play, if you don't have a vanity reason to play a class (Like wanting to wear 2 weapons as plate or somthing) then you can be anything you want and I would recommend you to take a look at the numbers (How big is the population for the class that you want to play). Nowadays it's hard to see rets at the top, but you do can see them so... I recommend you to go ret paladin, fdk or fury warrior. All of these are funny to play and your dps will depend on how hard you try to be the best. I wish you good luck, and have fun.
