I have a pretty custom build, so I recommend it only if you understand its benefits and disadvantages. Glyphs:
- Glyph of blink
- Glyph of rapid displacement
- Glyph of splitting ice
Talents:
There most things with the "official" mage build are same except 2 talents: I use evocation and frostjaw.
I can give a rotation too, but its mostly against 2 dps comp. Against healers you have to think lot more. So my usual burst rotation:
1. You hit at least 2 opponents with your elementals freeze.
2. You activate your trinket and the haste CC, then altered time.
3.You use your icicles and apply living bomb to both enemies.
4. After altered time triggers you get in the right position and use the frozen orb. - From this you 2-3 fingers of frost if its used correctly.
5. Frostjaw the enemy. Then deep freeze and ice lances.
6. Frost nova then another ice lance.
With full gear if you do it good your ice lances damage between 40-80k. Lets say that their average is 50k. With this rotation you use 10-11 ice lances. Thats 500-550k damage. And this is just by your ice lances ( and I don´t even counted glyph of splitting ice ). Except ice lances frozen orb and living bomb deals a fair amount of damage to.
7. Your opponent is most likely dead.
But I have to admit that this happens in a perfect situation, howewer in the half of the 2s enemies let me do it. But for mages burst is just a part of combat, if you don´t think on your own you won´t win. A think many mages will argue with this build, but its enough for me to have 2,1k raing.
