1. Arenas rogue help

Ive been mainly a warrior through cata - mop, recently ive decided to get good as rogue and is looking to be a high rating 2s/3s

from many opinions from people, its really comes down to assisnation,sub.. but i cant decide which to learn and main.. atm im sub fresh 90 only ilvl456.. and dmg isnt great as a low geared..

What is the pros and coins for each spec, aside from burst and dots, which spec could get me 2k+ raiting with strangers..

also as for daily quest, which spec would get the quest completions faster?

( anyone using weak auras and mind giving me their strings? )

  2. According to your gear and the experience as rogue, I recommend you to be assa. Why?

Assa= Simple rotation and damage output, you can put out damage easily since assa depend on poison damge which is ignore armor, So plate wearer is not a problem. and you should go for paralytic poison for talent.
the weakness is the lack of burst and low damage when well geared compare to sub and combat
However, assa is well fit with other class so well in arena

For sub= difficult rotation and skills line up during shadow dance to keep enemy lock down and deal as much damage as possible
weakness: depend TOO much on shadow dance to put pressure, get counter easily, hard to keep up rotation, you need a reliable partner in arena or synergy partner
strenght is the best rogue spec on control, damage and work well with dps class. (2s= double dps is better with healer)

  3. Lol, you want rating.

    Go combat rogue.

  4. Assa has very sustained damage even without cds. Envenom hits really hard on plate users since it does nature damage. It has built in execute below 35% hp because it allows you to spam dispatch. Paralytic posion is a very good talent choice since assa has more poison application chance. Best questing spec. Very fluent gameplay.

Sub has great burst but low damage without cooldowns. Only 1 minute cd on shadow dance makes up for that. Good control. Kinda busy rotation because you must manage combo points on rupture and slice and dice. I like using glyph of hemorrhaging veins because it allows me to spend combo points on something else rather than rupture. Better spec when mastered and on very high ratings.

Both specs are viable and can get you to 2k+.

    Premed > SnD > Cheapshot > heim/.garrote > rupture > shiv > backstab till 3-5 combo > kidney

my typical rotation but after kidney i dnt have a clue on whats next, do i vanish? pop my cd dance,blade.. etc

im goin for sub as i feel like cc control is huge during arenas

  6. Premed > SnD > Cheapshot > heim/.garrote > rupture > shiv > backstab till 3-5 combo > kidney

Rogues are very squishy atm. After you open you must partly focus on surviving. Try to predict stuns and use feint before it happens, or use faint always in general. Vanish, as you said, if necessary. Run around pillars while waiting for shadow dance cd, cc their cds ,blind and restealth, but im sure you know this already or do it instinctively :)

  7. Premed > SnD > Cheapshot > heim/.garrote > rupture > shiv > backstab till 3-5 combo > kidney

Your open not good literally, no offence, there is not much damage :/
the thing about your opener is for saving shadow dance which is not good for vs all of the class except vs the same class (rogue, vs the same rogue you might have to save shadow dance)
    why?
you waste diminishing return on cheap to just shiv and backstab which result to be low damage

your open should go with shadow dance to force trinket and def cd early thats what sub best of.

Dont use shiv( not worth it, since the enemy sit in stun already, so thats no point to shiv enemy) and dont hemo and rupture over another, just use hemo with glyph hemo
AND, in shadow dance dont use kidney shot, use cheap shot 2x insead, save combo points for evis

open slice and dice like that and cheap hemo/garrote and shadow dance and ambush evis
use ambush ONLY in shadow dance=40 energy

remember, you must use evis as much as you can during shadow dance
during proc trinket, i can evis 100k+ crit unbuff stacking from other class
normally, i get 3 evis during my shadow dance open, thats why i can one shot most people easily in 8sec
the most hard hiting skills of MOP rogue is Eviscerate, so if you can get 2 evis on your enemy, they already on the brink of dying already :D

i hope thats help, I advise you to watch youtube video tho, like sensus or sativ to see their openers

  8. This is what i NORMALLY do against certain classes

Casters: they will ALL use their self-centered crowd-control, use garrote, then cheap-shot, or you will suffer after the cheap-shot wears off.

tanks: the only reason you should be touching the tank, is if you need to CC his annoying ***.

Melee dps: cheap-shot, garrote, SnD and get ready to die because you probably can't skirmish anything and you just ran out of energy.

hunters: cheap-shot, garrote and ambush. Get ready to re-stealth one way or another because he'll have a new kite made out of your skin if you can't catch up reliably.

Generally, it's all situational. Oh and ALWAYS garrote the healer, in fact, do it twice, garrote > ambush > garrote.

Remember to keep SnD and feint up at all times to not die instantly and be able to keep up your damage.

Also, get used to fighting out of stealth, nobody (nobody good) will let you restealth in arenas.
Do some duels against rogues and start out of stealth, they get cocky and try to down you in zero seconds, just trink, use evasion, turn around and stab them

Oh and if you have trouble with mobility, get cloak and dagger, i find it to be the best talent against pretty much everything that tries to kite you, which will be everything.

Also, don't be the ****head that does something "becuz pros do it bruh". Common sense goes a long ****ing way.

  9. go assassination until you get over 500ilvl(with griev. daggers) then you go sub.. since both of the specs use daggers i suggest you dual spec sub + assass so you can practice with sub every once in a while.. I noticed that there is a wrong belief that sub has weak sustained damage, the truth is that with S&D + sanguinary vains active, you can chew through a wars 2nd wind easily using just hemmorage + evis even with no burst. You can do so because sub has really good stat scaling which means, that when geared, you'll have a rlly high attack power and crit chance ( not to mention rlly fast attack speed due to slice and dice mastery).
