1. Enhancement PVE Gems

So I need to know how to gem enha shaman with pre icc gear and later. Is it worth to stack haste or AP ignoring bonuses etc??

  2. http://forum.warmane.com/showthread....ent-Shaman-DPS
Check this guide for the stat priority.
There is also crit cap but I failed to understand how the formula for it works...

  3. There is also crit cap
Crit cap is the amount of crit percentage that is usefull to all your attacks, if you reach past this number your white strikes (AA) should stop benefit from additional crit.

Crit cap = 100 - 24(glancing chance) - 27 (dual wield miss chance) + X (your current meele hit chance) percent => that is when expertise capped and attacking from behind (which you should aim for, if you find yourself below exp cap subtract bosses dodge/parry/(block) chance as well)

Anyways, its broken atm, as crit past this "crit cap" removes glancing blows -> dw about it, untill fixed.

  4. Crit cap = 100 - 24(glancing chance) - 27 (dual wield miss chance) + X (your current meele hit chance) percent => that is when expertise capped and attacking from behind (which you should aim for, if you find yourself below exp cap subtract bosses dodge/parry/(block) chance as well)
So if i understand it correctly Glancing Blows, miss, dodge and parry chance take precedence over critical hits so the more hit and expertise I have the more crit i need to reach the cap.

    1. Haste
    2. Crit past "cap"
    3. Attack Power
    4. Crit to the cap, using this formula from ElitistJerks: Maximum Critical Chance (MCC) = 76 – (Chance to be Dodged) - (Chance to be Parried) – (Chance to Miss) + 4.6. If you're behind your target like you should be, Chance to be Parried is 0.
    5. Armor Penetration - Don't be afraid of it.
So the guide suggest to take crit over attack power once the crit cap is reached because crit past the cap reduce the glancing blow chance?
    This is so confusing...

  5. So if i understand it correctly Glancing Blows, miss, dodge and parry chance take precedence over critical hits so the more hit and expertise I have the more crit i need to reach the cap.
This is how it should work.

This is how it currently works.

  6. So I still dont get it, guide suggest to stack haste first and then crit? My question is how to gemming with lower pre icc gears and later

  7. If I understand the priority, he suggest you go for maximum haste (= gemming haste). Only mentions that crit past certain point becomes slightly more valuable than attackpower.
As far as I know gemming haste is the way to go, unless you are nearing bis gear in which case gemming and gearing(sts, wfs) for attackpower can be better (second hand experience).

  8. http://forums.elitistjerks.com/topic...33-and-onward/
Not sure if a better gear combination exist. They suggest StS and Herkuml as trinkets. Sadly the gems seem to be buggy...

However on warmane if crit chance reduce the glancing blow chance it might be better to get more crit.
Im still curious if crit outperforms attack power on higher gear level. Any well geared enhance tested it?
