I mean the game client. Will there be a new one available for download when the server launches or can I just download the one which is available right now?

there is an "old client" - graphics are like what wotlk should be originally, and there is the "new client" that using graphics of WoD expansion (new faces, new color and etc) . those are all changes in the client side - means warmane wont change anything, the client is your choice

It'll be exactly the same client . As was mentioned previously you have an option in the download section of the website to download the "old" client with the original textures from Wrath of the Lich King or you can download the "new" version with the Warlords of Draenor character textures. If you're downloading the new client just be aware that not all textures work properly right now (e.g. some undead jaws and hair etc) but might likely work in the future.
If you already have a client downloaded you'll just need to click "Change Realm" at the character selection screen and choose Lordaeron from there. It's a PTR (Public Test Realm) right now for the community to test for bugs and any characters you create will be wiped on the 25th when the completed realm is released.
