Is pvp gear supposed to downscale when used in pve? If yes, is the mechanic working here in warmane? Because at the moment 522 griev gear is better than msv/hof/toes gear stats-wise...

Yeap, that's why everyone should get geared via bgs and arenas. It's faster, and u only need trinkets then from ToT.

I think later in MoP, PvE is downscaled in BG/Arena, but not the other way around.

I'm full jp pve and overall a pve guy, but it makes me kinda jealous those full grievous dps plates tanking hc dungeons while doing almost double my dps. It's so magnificent, so sad i can't trade my jps for them honor points :(

On retail, PvE gear scaled down in PvP.
In WOD PvP gear scales UP in PvP.

pvp gear isnt better then tot gear since u can upgrade every piece of tot gear to ilevel 530.
