I was just reading the the Lordaeron PTR information and I read this.
'Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor release at launch
Outland release 1 month after launch
Northrend release 2 months after launch
Death Knight release 2 months after launch'
This made me think, will the level be capped out at 60 before Outland is released, and level 70 before Northrend? Just curious.

Yes it will be capped at 60 then Outland release 1 month later gives you time to prep things then lvl 70 and so forth
I guess then you could do something similar to what people did with dailies before xpacks and have your quest log full with 25 quests at Level 60 and hand them all in before you head over to Outland.
Leveling up your 4 professions will likely keep you well occupied until TBC is launched. And if that wouldn't be enough, then you can level up your reputations as well.
No one (who isnt Asian?) can possibly get lvl 60 with 300 skill in all 4 professions and exalted with 15 factions in just 1 month.
Besides, you would do well to try and actually enjoy the vanilla times when the zones across the world are actually populated with people. I thought people would be sick by now of doing Northrend over and over so why rush it to get there?
Personally I think Warmane staff should postpone the TBC launch with another month.
As mentioned already im kinda hoping they dont get all the bugs sortedout and give us 2 months locked at 60 and 3 months at 70 so we can also down most pve content at appropriate lvls not for the challenge as it will be easy with 3.3.5 gear and tallents but for the experience.
As far as stuff to do besides rep, lvling, profs, also remember if you are able to farm thegold now you will be able to buy flying and duel spec earlyer making it easyer later when questing in Outland, I know for the first two weeks ill be playing 10-12 hour days just cuz there will be somuch to do and for once the release of a progressive server lines up perfectly with no irl commitments
