Patch and progress

I was just wandering, what patch is mop in at the moment? Is the progression with patch or just whatever is ready to update? I've seen a lot of people saying some classes I want to use but kinda suck right now will become better as patches go up. I've got most of my characters high pvp geared and got nothing to really do since pve content isn't worthwhile because there is so little.

If i am not mistaken they said at the start of the server launch that we would stay with patch 5.4.2 4 ever so they would only need to add content without being need to us to download a new patch every time that happens

the client is 5.4.2 but the content is more like 5.0.5
