  1. Multi-boxing is fine if it's not more than 5 characters when it comes to PVP.

Multi-boxing, while allowed on retail, comes with a price of paying monthly for all the accounts one has. Over here, there is no price to pay or monthly fee so therefore I think it should be limited if allowed. A 5 char multiboxer shouldn't be a problem in PVP. Another thing to look at is if a 20+ chars multiboxer will cause lag issues when engaging in combat during city raids. I have noticed some lag/delay in the past when fighting a 40+ multiboxer.

However, and another thing you might want to look at, is economy. If a multiboxer is able to level a lot of alchemists then he could ruin the economy.

  2. After 10 years of playing WoW on both retail and various private servers and achieving most of what you can achieve, I decided to start multiboxing a little while ago, and let me tell you, it has been the most fun and challenging experience I've had in WoW. Playing 5v5 arena and winning as one player against 5 others is amazing, and not with the faceroll 5/4 of the same class(shamans) that people usually associate multiboxing with. No, a mixed team and a keyboard filled with keybindings for each separate ability.

Multiboxers get a lot of undeserved flak, I never encountered as many hateful whispers or /spits in my short time multiboxing compared to my 10 years of playing WoW, as others have said in this thread and I'm quite certain it's the case, people hate what they can't do/don't know/can't have. The Fox and the Grapes so to speak.

    Some of the obvious options:
    1. Limit the amount of characters multiboxers can have(max 5?) - Would prevent utter domination of certain battlegrounds
    2. Disable it altogether
    3. Disable it in PvP - This has been done before on other servers, multiboxers were not allowed to engage anyone in world PvP or do battlegrounds, they were allowed to fight back if they were being ganked. Was abused to ban innocent multiboxers though.

I personally hope you continue allowing multiboxing.
Very interesting point of view! I've only been playing WoW for a couple of years, almost entirely here but I started multiboxing with the Lordaeron release. I never found the 5+ of a single class attractive but the challenge of soloing dungeons or even raids is one I relish so I've jumped into the deep end with a prot pally, spriest, rdruid, enha shaman and hunter; essentially the classes I enjoyed playing on a solo basis. I can definitely confirm it takes a lot more out of you than spamming 1 of 2 spells to either heal or dps. As a non PVP gamer for almost my entire WoW career I can't really attest to the impact of a multi boxer in a BG but I can assume it's pretty dire however taking on 5v5 sounds impressive, I have enough trouble firing the spells I want to in pve let alone vs a full team of other players.

Yeah I've had the same experience in my 2 days of multiboxing so far. Couldn't tell you how many times I've been spat on and/or reported(?) for multiboxing lol. That said I've had some genuine enquirers asking about my comp due to it being 5 varied classes and about the overall experience or the difficulty of multiboxing, setup processes and whatnot. I generally point them at the wealth of information in our own forums or over at Dual-Boxing but not everyone is vitriolic about it. Admittedly such people are a minority but still :p

Spot on with the options suggestions, can't really add anything there since my opinion basically mirrors yours. Ultimately I won't stop playing if it is disabled but I'm having a lot of fun with it at the moment and that's what we're all here for right?

    Completely agree with this.

Anyone can have multiple account-characters with same proffesion not only multiboxer its just matter of will to level all that proffesions on Lordaeron.

  4. Yes I want to play WOTLK the way it's meant to be played

5 death knights or 5 shamans

  5. Completely agree with this.

True but a multi boxer can do all of them at the same time and in greater numbers than someone doing them 1 by 1. At least I think that's the concern he's trying to raise?

  6. MemorieZ where are your crappy arguments now? fk no to multiboxing it doesnt belong to the game

WRONG its part of the game, did a multiboxer kill you and you can't kill 5 characters by yourself???is that why you're mad?

  8. 1)Multi-boxing, while allowed on retail, comes with a price of paying monthly for all the accounts one has.
2)Its not the way the game was meant to play
    3)No, I wasnt killed by a multiboxer
4)80% of people disagree with you as you can see

  9. would be great if we can vote for the whole rdf thing (i would love to see rdf enabled on lord :D just my opinion !) , instead of multiboxers ^^
tbh i dont see alot of ppl multiboxing , and if i see them i avoid or kill the head of the group and gg :D , but tbh i saw just 2 multiboxer in the last 2 years

Yes, imagine seeing a player log 50 characters at once and do gem transmutations. Then sell all the gems + bonus gems from the mastery. Remember he can do this ONCE PER DAY.

    Rip economy?

And ye, imagine having someone sustain 50 accounts on retail. It would cost a lot to maintain. Comparing it to here, it's free and just takes time...which isn't a problem.

2)if its not they way the game was meant to play why does blizzard allow it??/
3)Then why do you hate them so much
4)OFC they would because 80% of the players doesn't multibox
