Auction House

I'm basically just begging you PLEASE return functionality to Auctioneer (or any such AH addons) to make for a stable and useful Auction House. It works in retail and if I understand correctly being close to retail is the goal. Not only am I severely crippled by not being able to post from Auctioneer, it is obvious to me that many have just given up and caved in because prices are all over the place, many ridiculously low and others crazy high. It was just better before for all the years that it worked.

If, for some reason of which I am unaware, there is some major problem with allowing such an important addon at the very least please inform me as to why I can't have this all-important addon. I do understand that somehow some people have utilized hacks involving the Auction House though I don't know if addons make any difference since I hate game hackers and have never used any in my life. If this or something like this is the rationale behind disabling Auctioneer's function I have to ask why should honest, rule abiding players be penalized for the nasty actions of a few?

I submit the game as a whole benefits from addons such as this and makes for more intelligent playing and improves player awareness of the game in general and the economy specifically.

Please respnd..... somebody. I'm desperate.

You can probably live without the addon man. Just fly to the auction house, look at the price of the item and decide how much to sell it for. I do really well with the auction house and I have never used an addon. The devs have a lot to work on and I am not sure their main goal is to look at addons before actual content. You are correct though, keeping the game as close to retail is the goal and I'm sure once they are able to they would love to get around to fixing the issue, it just may take some time

Of course it is possible to work without addons but I can do far more work in less rime and keep track of important statistics that guide future action so Auctioneer is extremely important to me. Additionally the only problem I'm having is everything works perfectly except it won't post saying it timed out trying to find the item in Inventory, which is of course really odd since it found it just fine to check current pricing . LOL

However A HUGE THANK YOU to anyone0 as 1.3 apparently addresses my exact issue. My only remaining problem is to recall how to strip source filer out from packages and which format lends itself best in doing that.. I play on Slackware Linux and prefer the BSD-like packaging system that does zero behind my back. Thanks again this is a big deal to me and judging from tour responses quite a few others as well.. anyone0, you are a gentleman, a scholar and a fine judge of wild Dark Ranger chix. :)

EDIT : My bad...confused your fix with another app. My ACTUAL remaining problem is I get a .zip file containing a .loa and a .toc but no installation readme. I tried creating a "wowauctionfix" directory within GAME/Interface/Addons and copying those 2 files to it but it didn't load. How is this to be implemented?
