Got my new monitor from Asus today, sent in my old one since a black line appeared that went across the monitor. They didn't have the stuff to fix the old one so they sent me an upgrade. Potato picture below (sideways monitor, my main monitor is a 1440p korean one)

So why keep it sideways like that?
That'd annoy the hell out of me real fast.

I don't have the deskspace to keep it landscape, and portrait is pretty nice for putting text editors on or books. Also, when the resolutions don't match it is a pain when moving to the next monitor since there's a gap that doesn't work, the mouse just sits there in the corner. But with it portrait, the switching is much nicer since I just have to move the mouse to where it would be on my main monitor, if that makes sense. Like if you look at this

the mouse cannot move into the black spots, it just sits there. I found the transition much more annoying with both of them landscape then one landscape and one portrait. However these monitors are much closer as one is 2560*1440 and the other is 1920*1200, there's only 240 pixels that touch black. It seems more seamless with one portrait and one landscape

Well... When I still had my other monitor I'd use it for hearthstone or this forum.. so I guess having it sideways wouldn't be that bad...
