Pretty sure I've simply missed a sticky describing my question but I failed to find it.
Will there be a coin store for this realm at a certain point? For purchasing gear and whatnot.

Yes, but heavily restricted
The prices of the gear will be bumped up quite a bit and you will not be able to purchase items till some requirements have been met
Eg you will not be able to buy the T2 BWL set till Burning Crusade is out etc you will not be able to buy the T6 Gear till Wotlk is out etc
Once wotlk is out the restrictions will be progress related and probably based on items you have already obtained. Eg you will only be oble to obtain gear one tier below the currently open one and there will probably be itemlevel restrictions on icc gear (eg you cant get the full hc set without having over 250 ilvl or something)

You are indicating that it's possible to buy ICC HC gear? That would completely undermine the effort and make the server just like every other. I really don't get it, why can't they just stick to spectral tigers and heirlooms?

I don't know really cause i read somewhere after the ICC bosses has been killed in NM/HC (after some time) they would remove all restrictions and make it so people can buy RS + ICC items without any restrictions but i guess that has been changed?

Has not. The lifting of restrictions will only occur after a while the raids have been cleaned.
