1. Progressive raiding Classic through tbc to Wotlk

I have a quick idea that could be developed on by the community. Don't know if it has been shared yet.

There's a sever out there (I'm not going to name it), that came out with the idea of progressive raiding using the Wrath of the Lich King client and sticking with the original blizzard timeline. While they had some initial success, they are slowly dying. One of the reasons is that they are strictly pve. Another is their slow development and content releases, and also having some bosses like ragnaros who have been bugged since the beginning continue to be broken regardless of how many times its been reported.

The whole idea is to release raids progressively starting out only with Molten Core and Onyxia. Then after a bit of time progresses release world bosses Azuregos and Kazzak and then the next raid BWL and ZG etc and keep going. While i have noticed that Lordaeron is keeping the level cap at 60 until the 25th of October, this would require the cap to be kept until Outland is open. Things like releasing draeneis and belfs and professions and their resepective bonuses should be left intact however, as this is strictly focusing on raids and not an actual vanilla and tbc imitation. The time frame for it all would be best left up for discussion. In my opinion 6-8 months per expansion would be ideal instead of blizzards 2 years. This could include removing or at least lowering raid lock out times for BC and Vanilla raids only until the server gets to the Wrath expac. This would also require down scaling Naxx and Ony for lvl 60 40 man raids. Since this is a hardcore realm, i have no doubt that this is the server to pull it off. And implementing events like the onyxia attunement and the opening of the gates of AQ and the dark portal could be implemented along with the aq war effort.

The entire timeline can be found here http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Timeli...of_Warcraft%29

This idea would give the server a progressive hardcore raiding feeling all the way from vanilla to wrath and could potentially secure the longevity of lordaeron for quite a while since people will always have something new to do.

With Lordaeron's, and Warmane's as a whole, popularity this is the server and community that can pull off this idea properly. After viewing the changelogs this server is already headed in the right direction as a lot of development has already gone into it and could have a great amount of success if its used in Lordaeron or if this idea is saved for a future realm.

Let me know what you guys think. Again this is only an idea but I'd love to hear some feedback as this is all up for discussion.

  2. I like your idea! :) I support it!

  3. I would rather chop off my foot than go through 6-8 months of vanilla content with a wotlk 3.3.5a patch. That's just insanity when it is at its best. It is easy as it is already for people who raid (Cookies raid kind of confirmed that on the PTR) I mean sure it is fun but not for 6-8 months, not at all. Also adding the attunements that actually meant something is a hard struggle in its own and doing that only to faceroll raids later on due to wotlk talents is just..its like waiting for santa and then he dies.

**** idea overall for me and sorry about that, it would just bore me to death and I guess that is my personal opinion. Im happy with the way things are and Kaer+staffs vision of this is working just fine, the population alone shows that along with the positive feedback and polls like never before, reaching out to the community a lot more than pre-moltdown (again, in my opinion).
