1. Major FPS drop with WoD models

    Hello,

Im sorry if there is already a thread about this but i could not find any post regarding the same issue.
I redownloaded the MoP client with the new WoD characters. and now i am experiencing a major frame drop.
I went from 60FPS on MoP version with everything but view distance set to its highest to 10 FPS with the WoD characters with all the settings on medium.
Things i've tried are renaming my WTF, Cache and interface folders and disabling all my addons but to no avail.
Anyone that knows what causes the issue and how to fix it?

    Thanks in advance :)

  2. Also, switching back to normal MoP gives me 60-70 FPS again...
Is anyone else having these issues with the WoD skins

  3. It varies depending on the system. I am using the WoD models, and have better than normal frame rates.
(40-50 FPS on Intel integrated Graphics and 3GB of RAM)

The only problem I've had is the model from the ankles down is invisible. However, it's not game-breaking.
Try adjusting your graphics settings an see if that helps any.

  4. Yea, I adjusted the **** out of the graphics option xD.
Also I have a geforce gtx 950 (2GB) so it should be more then capable I think to play atleast on like 30 fps with the WoD models.
Whenever im flying in a place where there are no NPC's and other players around i just get 10 FPS with the settings set to the minimum.
It is so wierd because like i said, when im playing without the WoD models I get 60-70 FPS when everything is set to maximum (view distance to good).
I actualy looked around and on some of the blizzard forums ppl seem to get the same FPS drop after a certain patch, I'm assuming that we have the models of the 6.0.2 patch?

  5. Srsly download normal client...

    Its last problem Lordaeronmane!

Personally I am using the WoD models with the old client and see no difference in my FPS. Granted I am not using a laptop or integrated graphics.
Haven't tested the new client though, so cannot compare.

  7. just checked in my nvidia panel, that wod models.exe was using my intel graphics...so I switched and all good now..try it.

I feel dumb, I started looking around in the nvidia control panel, and taadaa... WoW_WOD_Models.exe wasnt configured to use my graphics card...
now I set everything to ultra and presto. 90 FPS...
Thanks to everyone for the advice...
Time for me to enjoy glorious new skins :D
