The Marketplace?

So, while I was looking through the marketplace today for some warrior transmog sets, I remembered, pre-wipe, I was in the process of getting the onslaught set (in fact, I saw the onslaught set a little while ago post-wipe). I decided I should get that set again. However, I found that there is no longer an onslaught set to obtain via the point shop. After wondering why they would do this, I looked on the coin marketplace, and I found that you can in fact buy the set, for like $50-60. The entire set is neither available in-game nor on the point marketplace, but you can purchase it.

So, my question is: why? I know a little about the "we're revamping the entire marketplace to make it harder to obtain items... paying more attention to the marketplace", but what I see is not allowing players to vote for transmog, rather make them buy it (for a ridiculous price, might I add). I'm not seeing this move as a means to make this a little more earned in terms of items/vanity/gear etc (as this content isn't available in-game), even after the fact that the majority of players have already received hundreds to thousands dollars in coins and a year or two worth of points to do and buy whatever it was they pleased a few months ago.

Removing content from the marketplace for non-paying players before anyone releases the raids that you receive the said content from? I see no point in this other than to force me to pay.

Can anyone explain?

Please understand this is my opinion and I am stating a legitimate question as to the means of this action. There is absolutely no point in removing this post; this fear deriving from past experience and rumor. The inability to state ones educated opinion questions the very function and existence of a user-based forum.

The point shop squish and reset has screwed over many people and you are one of them.

Their justification is that they want you to farm the pieces for the xmog rather than just sit in town afk and collect points. However some people fail to realize that the instances and or duns are not open on most of the realms.

You will also hear, "We will port from the Lovechild realm blah blah blah", but the problem here is that that realm is gonna take some time to hit puberty AND only after it gets its chest hair will they port the stuff over. Until then you need to wait. If you cant wait fork over those $$$ cause they need to pay for the nourishment of their lovechild realm.

If you are on Cata the prices are okayish for low lvl gear for xmogs. If you are on MOP, God bless your soul.
