1. They should just make it so that if you are 5 levels higher or below someone you cant interact with them in pvp combat (except for main cities of course)

    Would solve everyone's issues.

    Level range wouldn't fix the issue of a server flagged as PvP. You would still easily run the risk of being repeatedly ganked by twinks close to your level, or just people who have had time to gear up more than you, not to mention you could still be attacked by a group of five people your level. The difference between a PvE and a PvP is the choice you have in one of them, that it torn away from you on the other.

    Obnoxious is right. 1.) accepted it IS a problem. and 2.) Just a 5 level differential will not solve the problem. However, it would MASSIVELY improve the the situation. The only real complete solution though is a premium purchasable PvE flag placed on existing servers. I think they should implement on Frostwolf and give it 6 months to decide if it is worthwhile to add to the other servers. (its easy to see that it is a no-brainer though and will be added to others if we are bold enough to try it here).

    i definately would pay for my account to be flagged pve on lordaeron since i have no interest in pvp whatsoever on the open world and i know i am not part of a small minority that feels this way.

    On my journey from 1-60 on Lordaeron maybe 10% of my pvp deaths were caused by a level 60 player and 90% by players of my level.

    So it seems low level world pvp is extremly active on lordaeron and many ppl enjoy it.
    What would happen to the mentioned pvp content when they change Lordaeron to a PvE realm?
    How much low level world pvp would happen when both sides need to turn pvp on?

    After a certain point low level pvp won't exist. This is what you need to understand.

    Also say it was changed to a PvE realm. You still have Arenas and BGs. But any world pvp you want would either A: Be organized. or B: flag yourself.

    Lordaeron has x1 rates and no instant max level perk.
    There will always be ppl leveling and always low level pvp.

    It is not "PvE realm".
    The two expressions are very different because the 2nd makes people believe that only PvE takes place on the realm or something, when that's definitely not the case.

    Anyway, on a 1x realm, there will always be low level pvp to some extent. Even so, the contested zone's pvp flag isn't about low level pvp. The point of the "pvp realm" sort of mechanics in contested zones is that a player chooses to put themselves at risk, recognize that it is a "world at war", and realize that war is often not fair and that there is risk involved in the game.

    To us, the staff of warmane, a "PvP realm" (as it is called) is a "Normal realm" to us. We feel that in order to truly experience the game, there has to be some sort of risk, even though it is a very small and forgiving risk comparing to plenty other games (Eve online, hardcore in any diablo game, etc).

    If so many people enjoy it, having a server flagged as PvE wouldn't change anything now, would it? All of these "many people who enjoy it" would just always keep themselves flagged for PvP, yes? Unless your point is that many people enjoy forcing PvP onto people who don't enjoy it, and the ability to opt-out of PvP would actually show that not all that many people are interested in it when the choice isn't stripped from them.

    Organised low level world pvp? That wouldnt happen.
    This "Organised world pvp" is stupid by itself.
    I rather just make a duell than searching for a opponent for a "organised pvp fight".

    The whole fun of the world pvp is that u kill somebody and he rages. Then he forms a grp and kills u. Then u form a grp and u have some nice battle.
    The anger that u feel after beeing killed promotes the war between Alliance and Horde and is part of the game.
    On a PvE realm this part of the game is completly missing.

    I would find it boring to level on a Lordaeron PvE realm, just doing quests until max level and never ever any kind of side PvP from time to time.

    You misunderstand.

    These people don't enjoy fair PvP.
    They enjoy ganking other people who are either engaged in fighting mobs, have low HP, or are a lower level than they are.
    You can't do that on a PvE server. But I feel you anyway. Honestly, I'd have preferred a normal realm too.

    We enjoy WAR. The war between the Alliance and the Horde with all his pros and cons.
    Sapphire /Mercy described it very well.

    On a PvE realm u have no war between the Alliance and the Horde. U rather have some kind of "duell" because both sides need to accept the fight.

    No, it's you who misunderstand. On a Normal server people who want "WAR" can still have it. The only thing is it will, on most regions, be only among themselves, without dragging people not interested in it. For what you describe to happen, the majority of people would have to not want to get involved in forced PvP - and if that was the case, the message would be quite clear.
