Global chat was a chance for a global community, and players to come together.
Thanks to ZERO SPAM RESTRICTIONS, or mods of any kind, the channel is now simply a place to try and outspam whichever other moron happens to be spamming at the time.
Why the **** exactly are people allowed to post 4-6 times in global within 1s without getting muted? Are you joking me?
Anyways, the channel is ****ed now. Nobody interesting will ever visit again.
Excited for the future of Lordaeron... yeah....

It's just a chat channel... I don't really see why you're doubting the future of Lordaeron because of it.
If the spam annoys you there are addons to filter some of it and you can always just hide the window.
If nothing else, Blizzard provided an excellent Ignore feature.

Easy fix. Never say something is easy to fix. You don't know what is the structure, the coding and other variables.
It may seems simple, but it could not be.
Btw, I totally agree, /Global is a mess due to childish player, spamming, going with their "so funny **** jokes", thunderfury links, and so on.
As far as I'm concerned, my use of /global, without add-on : I keep it on a different window. When I want to run a dungeon, I type /8 LFM XXXXX need DPS and Tank. And I wait for PM. Oh, and I stand near the summoning stone, since most of players will be to lazy to go there, or even /p Thanks after being summoned. ("Social" at its best).

Problem is, without RDF, you have to rely on /global. But its a cesspit of spam, and other random vulgarity. I mean, I have no problem with bad language but I have seen instances of people talking about owning slaves IRL, rape, murder, child molesttion. I reported once. GM says: "I need unedited screenshots or video of the chat". Ok. Oh wait, spamming dickbags have flooded the chat so its impossible to get a screen. There REALLY needs to be spam limits. Its fcking impossible to get groups.

Not really, back in the old days on wow there were no RDF, and they had no global chat too. They used other chat channels...

But why get so mad ? Yes I would prefer people not spamming, but why do you not just make other chat windows for other chats - for example guildchats, private chat, etc...

Global fulfils it's purpose and I got no problem with it, it's for LFG spam and the occasional joke and conversation (there's no CP in the internet, if you are offended by stupid **** people says in the internet make a Pony channel and talk to yourself). If you don't like global you can leave it and get groups in the capital cities or the instance entrance itself.
TL;DR: Stop whining

You could always use a chat filter addon, ofc I am biased towards mine , but there are plenty to fulfill your needs.
I support making LookingForGroup and LookingForGuild global and restricting such messages on Global, leaving it just for chat and discussion though

That's if they worked correctly with the realm / Channel. I haven't really debugged it yet, but filtering add-ons either filter all the chat or just do nothing. I have yet to get one working even tried to code one and yet it did nothing.

you could put simply the limit in world chat to 1 message per minute as doing this will reduce drastically the mole of spam

Make the spam filter more sensitive, like it was before. And mute those ****ing idiоts, for the love of god... or even ban them.

this happens every ****ing day, they basically "turn off" the global chat with their spam, so it's impossible for normal players to use it.
