Ideas for a minimalistic UI

I was using LUI v3 for quite some time now, but i cant live with the 40MB addon memory usage anymore. Therefore for the last few days, I have been working on a UI that is both light weight and easy to use in PVP, at the same time minimalistic and neat.

Finally finished with one but I am sure there are other people who would have some parts of their UI setup more efficiently. I would like to know your views and suggestions, as well as share your UI with the list of addons involved.

List of addons used :
1. Bartender : Action bars
2. Masque : Button skin
3. Omni-cc : Timers
4. Coolline : CD bar
5. PVP timer : CD tracker
6. Raven : Buffs and Debuffs
7. Mappy : Minimap
8. Tidy Plates : Nameplates (this addon is heavy!, but i cant live without it)
9. Healers have to die : PVP
10. Tipsy : Tooltips
11. Classpotraitsfinal : Class specific, Player and Target unit frames (THANK YOU FURIZ FOR THIS!!)
12. Opie (lime 9) : Quality of life
13. Auctionator : Quality of life
14. Gatherer : Quality of life
15. Macro toolkit : Quality of life
16. Guild Check : Quality of life

This config lets me use a max of 15 MB with Quality of life addons and less than 10 MB without them, which in my opinion is pretty neat :D

here's the UI that i personally use on my Shaman and it's pretty Simple yet very useful, most of my abilities are macro'ed using Modifiers so that explains the lack of some totems.

Nice. I just try to keep my window empty tho. I dont believe that I need to see a spell like Mutilate or Lightning bolt on screen since the icons of these spells dont really provide any relevant information. So I only like to keep CDs on the screen. However I had been having issues with "trash" spells for some time (like mounts, foods etc) since they occupy irrelevant space and yet are required all the time on screen :D. I think my new UI solves that problem.

I have keybinds on (e,r,t,f,g,q,z,x,1,2,3,4,5,M3,M4,M5,Scroll up,Scroll down).

I use Modifier macros as well but my macros are mostly Modifier + Conditional. My macros can be found HERE!. These are for my Combat rogue tho (a spec that i have moved on from :P, now I am Assassin). I mostly have like 3-5 spells in each button so all my primary spells get covered in all combinations with like 12 buttons (with modifiers) which I keep hidden since I remember them by muscle memory.

The only thing i try to do with my UI now is to make my screen as empty as possible without compromising the amount of information that i require :)

i agree that i should put spells without a cd away but i can't seem to get used to that idea, for mounts it's easy just use 2 (ground/flying)

I`m let me try to describe..have you ever watched the tournament warmane streaming on twich? those frame colors and buff/defuff above it is perfectly for me..i asked the ppl on chat but none of them answered because it was lot of spam for this and that..bla bla....but cannot find it or see any similar as that thing which obviously is not easy to be found or i havent dig enough on google..

If a Player use a spell like Earth Shield it will shown as Shaman+Healsymbol.

I`m let me try to describe..have you ever watched the tournament warmane streaming on twich? those frame colors and buff/defuff above it is perfectly for me..i asked the ppl on chat but none of them answered because it was lot of spam for this and that..bla bla....but cannot find it or see any similar as that thing which obviously is not easy to be found or i havent dig enough on google..

Dude, can you share some link? Or maybe a video on youtube? I am really interested on the UI they use.

Yea I use a macro (the first button) and like to keep a 12 space bar with all my other mounts for show off XD .. Still that bar you see is just one of 5 bars.

The 5 buttons in a circle represent each of my action bars.
1st is Combat CDs.
2nd is Vanity items.
3rd is Food , potions, beverages.
4th is professions
5th is mounts

I have my keybinds for food, bandages (one macro) and Fly/Swim/ground mount (macro based on condition). But still like to use them on the fly. So all i have to do is Hold a button, move my mouse in the right direction. and my bar changes to that :D (i dont use Shift 1,2,3 etc for changing action bars cuz i use them for my spells.)

p.s Assassin for life! They are cool as ****. and are the best counter to platers (and the most op mop class : warrior) :D

Ahhhh that, its actually not an addon for personal player name plate. Its a simple addon for healthbar, but has been placed in center of screen as player is always in center. So it looks as though you have your own personal health bar. Also. The other frames are simply xPerl addon or similar. Size has been increased to look like that ofc. Neat idea for arenas.

For personal health bar (as in the videos) you can use either a heavy addon like Xperl (complete set of raid frames, arena frames, target/focus/player/pet, frames) and adjust them to look like that. Else you can try something simpler like Galvin's Unitbars

However if you have scripting knowledge, you can work with OUF addon which is probably the GOD of all UI addons, but it doesn't have any user interface in game. You have to script and modify it to your own need or find a ready made layout and use it as you own without modifications.
