Ancient Petrified Leaf quest?

I recently received this item:

I'm just wondering if any hunter out there has managed to complete the Ancient Petrified Leaf quests? On the Mature Black Dragon Sinew I've killed over 200 dragons in burning steppes which says is on the objective(since 3.3.5) due to onyxia being level 80 raid, without any luck. I've googled a bit and they said it should be a 100% drop on them, as long as you have the quest. [A Proper String]


On the quest Stave of the Ancients I tried to do Klinfran but when I talk to him he only says "Greetings!". I tried dismissing my pet but he still says the same, since you're supposed to do the quest alone. I also googled this part and I'm doing what you're supposed to do but it's not working, so not sure if i'm doing anything wrong or if the quest is bugged. Thank you!

i dont think theyve finished scripting this quest, the npcs you have to kill dont turn into demons and dont drop the head quest items

i dont know about the black dragon sinew as i have not tested it but apparently it does not work

i was able however to loot the blue dragon sinew for the quiver

I'm on Lordaeron, and I managed to defeat 2 of the 4 demons: Artorius and Simone and got their heads. But I had issues with the other two: Kilnfran was blasting me for 4k-5k damage every 10-12 secs.... And Solenar was easy to kill but didn't drop anything :(

I also completed the Ancient Sinew Wrapped Lamina quest and got the quiver.

I did noticed the black dragonkin mobs in Burning Steppes show they can drop the Mature Black Dragon Sinew, but everyone I have asked said you have to defeat Onyxia, which was not tuned down to Lv 60.
