Ok i'll make a long story short here. Leveling in a conventional way won't be possible when TBC hits live because of the number of people everywhere.
Any attempt to level up through normal questing will be reduced to either mindless gankfest which is something i have no intention of participating in or waiting like 2 hours to do anything even remotely meaningful.
So without further ado
1. Will the quest log be reset? Simple question, no need to mention much more here, based on this answer i will make further plans.
2. How viable is to level through dngs, basically Ramparts and the other one forgot it's name? This way seems the most viable ( to me at least) considering the circumstances.
I can say that all TBC dungeons are most certainly soloable (at least to some extent) with the right combination of class/professions/trinkets/consumables.
I.e. blacksmith protection warrior/paladin with free potions from an alchemist buddy (or Consortium vendors).
I plan to do Stratholme simply cuz there are so many mobs it will be joke to clear it (takes 15,20 mins). After tbc hype goes down a bit in few hours il head over to Ramparts and continue fro there:)
My plan, now I'm back, will be to level an alt for 3-5 days. Once I get bored then I will poke my head into Hellfire and see if the hype has died a bit.

Imo later on it'll be even worse... when the twinks get gear and a flying mount and start farming you.
