Internet issues or server problem with Italian players??
Hello, since around 4 weeks i'm not able to play on Warmane, the latency jumped from 40ms to aprox 200/300 ms any time.
In the time i've stopped play, i'vent touched/updated anything on my PC, and , as far as i know my Internet contract didnt changed also, so i dont know about the server.
I've tried to check speedtest:
-
I've tried different ping places and still doesnst explain why im lagging at all:
Also:
- Tried re-install WoW (US and EU)
- Changed realmlist
- Deleted all add-ons
- Disabled all add-ons
- Disable firewall/anti virus
- Scan whole PC with antivirus and anti malware system
-Change the PC (From my main computer, to my laptop via wifii and modem, but still same result)
Small edit:
Actually i've tried and figured out that SEEMS i've 100% packet loss, can be this the problem? If yes, how im supposed to fix it?
""An error has occurred
Unfortunately the line test has failed to complete, due to 100% packet loss. This means that we were unable to connect to your computer via a ping request. The most likely cause of this problems is firewall software that is set to block ping requests. This firewall software may be installed on your computer, or built into your router (if you use a router to connect to the internet)." But i've tried already to remove the firewall, was still lagging
Would like some help :)
I'm also still waiting for my internet provider call for try to figure out if its something related to them.
Best regards
Not exactly an expert here but I would look at your modem/router, perhaps borrow a different one from one of your friends and see if anything changes. Some old stuff can start to malfunction over time. Changing the cabling might do something aswell but lastly I do believe its your provider.
The links are not always clear and some providers tend to have bad routing, whilst it gives you the speed you pay for it can remain inconsistent. Also try to check if theres any software connected to your network device that needs an update or think hard and try to figure out when this started to happen. How long have you played here, has it always been like that? Did I change/update anything that may have changed things? That sorta stuff. I hope it works out, glhf.
Edit: Have you turned off your modem/router, let it rest some and put it back on? How many network devices do you have? How many are connected to it? Is it old? Go figure on those things. :P ok im outta here now, not a techie but trying to help a lil bit as I've experienced this too, a long time ago.
