1. Can a few priests confirm

My Power Word: Shield absorbs 1454 damage before I put any points into the Borrowed Time talent. The talent increases the amount absorbed by the shield by 40% of spell power if you put all 5 points into it. With 484 spell power the talent should increase the amount absorbed by around 193. After putting 5 points into the talent the amount absorbed was still 1454. The talent isn't increase the amount absorbed. Can any other priests test it and see if it is increasing for them? Thanks in advance. Let me know if i'm wrong on all this and fill me in please.

  2. I can t see actual ammount on buff bar or combat log , but based on my glyph of pws heal, i should be absorbing around 2.5k

  3. How are you testing how much it absorbs? I'm thinking it may just be the tooltip not updating - should probably be looked into nonetheless!

Problem is not only abosrb broken , Mistery talent also broken sometimes not appear in target , improved devouring plague incorrect dmg done , If you think they will fixed reprot in bugtracker and wait 3-5 months for fix

  5. Believe it is bugged. Having 3/3 imp pws does update the tooltip correctly. Borrowed Time does not.

I can't test it though because for whatever reason recount/skada won't show absorb done for some reason

  6. tooltips never update as far as i know.

i am playing shadow so i cannot help u that much i will ask in my guild and answer you acconrdingly!

  7. Find a hard hitting NPC and let him attack you.
Then count absorbed damage in combat log by yourself, do not trust any addons or tooltips and you will get correct results.
Test it with and without talent.
    Done.

  8. I reported it on bugtracker long time ago but one person got on their and said "mine is working" and it immediately got dismissed. I was disappointed, no dev said anything about them checking it out. Guess they just took that one persons word for it.

  9. I haven't played priest here, but played on another server that I'm pretty sure has the same core (or whatever you want to call it) (at least based on the very specific similarities that I've seen). On that one, the talents definitely work as intended. However, the best way to confirm is just download Skada, set it to show Absorbs (or Healing and Absorbs, just don't heal) and then go stand in front of a mob. It'll accurately (to the nearest hundred, at least) show you what your shield is absorbing.

Edit: To the poster above saying Skada doesn't show Absorbs, I'm not sure why that is the case. It works quite well showing that. Recount, however, does not.

  10. My Power Word: Shield absorbs 1454 damage before I put any points into the Borrowed Time talent. To be fair, I can't be arsed to respec and pay 50 gold again, but If you would get glyph of power word shield you could base the healing done by the glyph as a base of the absorb. I currently get about 486 insta heal (noncrit) from casting Pw-shield as disc priest. Which would make my shield absorb almost 2.5k
Like some other guy said, Read your combat log or get the addon Skada, where as recount doesn't take absorbs into account, that one does.

    (Diagnose, 70 alliance priest)

  11. As someone above mentioned. The most accurate way of testing absorbs is to have a mob hit you and check the actual absorbed amounts in your combat log. Unfortunately even Skada is a little unreliable in this case.
