Hello, dear forum members.
It's my very first post here and unfortunately I fell prey to an attack. I presume that my account (second one) got hacked. I tried entering my account name and password several times but it keeps saying:
"The information you have entered is not valid...."
Please look into the matter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanking you in advance.
Hello again, as I investigate this issue from a broader perspective, I discovered that my account has been hacked and my rogue isn't even in guild and he can't be found in the Armory.
This is getting a bit out of hand and stressful.
Anyone who can help me out, please?
have you tried to use your email to get a password reset? on the login screen it should say forgot password click that then proceed to put your email in and captcha then go to your email for that reset.

Did you share your account with a friend? If that the reason, no point of making a post b/c sharing and trading account leads to perma ban.
I never shared my account details with anyone and I see no point in doing so.
Actually, as aforementioned, the matter is a bit more serious than I expected. My character is no longer in guild and he cannot be found in armory. I don't know how it all occurred.
Thanks for replying by the way! I appreciate.
Well, the thing is,it's your job to keep your account safe, even more so your computer.
Unless your password was ''password'' either someone got lucky and actually managed to guess it by random and you didn't have neither of the two authentication methods enabled (which is basically like asking for trouble) or you got a nasty tourist traveling around your computer and sending your passwords to a random necbeard in his mancave in which case you are all kinds of screwed.
TL/DR There is more than enough of methods to ensure that you don't get ''hacked'' your account safety and it's protection beyond what Warmane grants,is your responsibility.
Such was not my password neither my computer is being used by someone else. Now this is high probabilistic. You're talking about someone who managed to guess my password and username? I'm no geek but I can apprehend things and once again, it is probabilistic.
@Bruh24, I tried resetting password but the latter apparently changed my email to which it has been registered because I never received the email. Is there any other alternatives because I adhere to the fact that I actually lost my rogue and there's no point in trying anymore?
I don't have a premium account. Both are normal ones. I'd had intended to donate during the holidays but now after all this, I don't feel like doing so.
I sent an email to the above address. I'm hoping for a positive response. Thank you guys for your help.
If there's anything you can add or tell concerning this issue, kindly do so. It might help.
*Update*
So, after a few days or pertinent exasperation, I managed to get my account back.
So, dear hacker if you can read this, I can say that you're incompetant and thank you for the stuffs you bought.
A guy hacked it, changed my account email and password. Moreover, he changed my character from Horde to Alliance and even made it a female. Now, I have a question, can character transfer from one faction to another take place? I didn't have coins, how is that possible? The character gear is intact and I also got a lot more gold. He used all my eofs.
So, friends, I already did the backup plus I have the two factor authentication enabled now, is there anything else that I can do which will make the account more secure and less prone to attacks?
In the same light of thought, is there any way to reverse the process of the factor change?
Thank you for your help and consideration.
Faction change is also available for 15 points. To make your account more secure you can enable 2 step authentication. It does not affect ingame account but it secures your account on website so knowing username and password won't be enough to change password or email.
Yeah actually, I just went through that again and I noticed it.
I meant, apart from 2 step authentication and backup, is there anything else? I already changed my password and I'll change my email as soon as possible because apparently, there's a 'cooldown'.
There are no other security features. Other ways to improve security depend on you. It's not possible to obtain someones password from Warmane so he directly or indirectly obtained it from you or someone you have given it. Could be caused by using same password for multiple sites, password entered somewhere or even a keylogger.
I'm now using a new password different from those on my various accounts. I never shared my account with someone else. So, there cannot be a third party involved.
I hope this time, nothing will go wrong and that I'll be able to play safely. If there's any tip adhering to this issue, please share it.
