1. Do you enjoy graveyard camping in Battlegrounds?

    This is not a rant.

It feels good stomping others in PvP, I get it. Makes you feel large, mighty and a sense of power, it massages your ego and makes you happy.
I am serious, it really does even if it is just a little satisfaction from performing well. Most PvPers I see feel something like it no matter how humble or how much control they have over their own ego.
No I am not saying that if you enjoy winning or stomping it means you are stroking your e-peen. Don't get it twisted.

I find graveyard camping a tad boring even if it is our team camping them. There is not really any action going on except for the few horde / alliance who insist on going full rambo by jumping straight into the opposing team, and even that is just a brief 5 seconds of action.

Normally I just explore the Battleground, follow objectives, alt tab, or just sit somewhere distant waiting for a brave rogue, druid, or whoever managed to get off the graveyard to attack me if they choose to.
I don't really mind it if the opposite team performed well and we managed to get them to their graveyard or am looking for something quick.

Like the title says.... Do you enjoy graveyard camping? What is it that you like about it?

  2. ‘’Fair play is defined as a way of thinking, not just a way of behaving’’. Camping the graveyard is not demonstration of ability - it is the demonstration of fighting someone who is not even in the position to fight back properly and there is nothing fulfilling in that concept for me. The reason we/you get farmed on the graveyard is mostly due to the fact that we have well organized premade on one side, and a group of random players on the other side. Still, I do not feel any satisfaction in killing players repeatedly on the graveyard. Not even if I am in the premade. I just do not see the challenge. I respect all my opponents, and above all I respect those who cherish the true sportsmanship spirit. If you are alone, I will fight you alone, If I am with my partner, we will go against two, three, four, five of you and if we don’t get support from our team and lose, I will congratulate you, but please do not t-bag me or emote me just because five of you took two of us down. I have never, nor will I kill a guy who is just questing in order to show how ‘’skilled’’ I am. I have never killed anyone from opposite faction, just because ‘’I can’’, nor will I ever come with ten of my teammates and torture some poor soul in the battleground just because we outnumber him. It is just not my cup of tea. I get satisfaction only trough competitive success and fair play.

    U never farmed HKs, right?

  4. I don't, but if you have reached the point where you can camp a graveyard, you better do it so they can't turn the tables.

So, even if you don't enjoy it, you don't really have other choice.

I'm always the one to say "cap it already" when the flag carrier just stays there forever.

    U never farmed HKs, right?
If you want to farm HKs, finish that WSG and get into an AV. How many HKs will you farm by staying in a WSG GY for fifteen minutes? 20? You get that just by standing still in the Field of Strife.

  5. U never farmed HKs, right?
Actually you can see that I have 36536 Total Kills, and I had much many more on old Lordaeron before the crash but I do not think that was the question at all. I was not referring to honorable kills but rather I was answering the questions like does farming the graveyard (in this very much inbalanced conditions we have in pvp) makes me happy or does it boost my ego. My answer is no and you can see the actual reasons why it doesn't ''turn me on''. Because merely killing the opposite faction is diametrically opposed to what pvp-ing actually is. Like NigelFarage says, if farming the graveyard will have a key role in winning the battleground I will be the first one to farm it, but do I enjoy joining a good premade, rape a group of randoms 24/7 and boast of how allegedly ''skilled'' I am, my answer is no. I will always choose completing the objectives over farming hk's.

So essentially, what I understand from your question is this : who cares about capturing and holding the bases, who cares about the resources, who cares about taking and capping the flags, who cares about burning the towers down, who cares about strategies and tactics and achieving the priority tasks in order to actually win the battleground when you can just switch to the other faction, join pvp guild, buy yourself a shadowmourne and farm hk’s all day long keeping good care about being the first one on the score board. Be sure also to fight on the roads and middle of nowhere.
This is the excat reason why pvp is losing it’s core meaning.
Your ‘’farming hk’s’’ comprehension of pvp defies logic in the deepest extent.

  6. Well it doesnt turn me on either, or maybe it does when i play against some "popular" opponents. Maybe one of the reasons why i dont enjoy it every time is cause im healer.
Btw, ur conclusion is good. When i get best gear, when i dont need anymore honor or arena points for gearing (in most cases) when im in premade i dont fcking care about objectives. Just want to farm HKs as much as i can. Those who need honor/ap they should care about objectives, and im there just to help them directly healing/peeling them or indirectly farming HKs so they dont need to worry about opponents. And thats main reson why ppl dont care about objectives - farming HKs, maybe some nerds also feels op when they camp gy, but as i said, thats nerds.
@Nigel Ur might be right about leaving wsg and joining AV. But on the other side, if im in premade, and i win that wsg while enemies still want to ress even if they r farmed, then im waiting que for about 15 mins and by that time i could get that 20 HKs instead getting bored in Durotar while w8ing BG which could be some other BG than AV, and in that other BG i can get maybe just that 20 HKs that I lost in wsg or i could get about 50-100 HK which is not bad, but thats gambling :-)

    exactly

ortodox by farming HK cause you are ultra geared and not caring about objectives you actualy aint helping anyone
    why?
cause you or any other HK farmer just run around looking for low geared people and oneshoting them while your team sits at begining cause there is no base or flag caped
how many times i saw HK farmers just run away as soon there is some trouble and leaving their teammates to die
you just wana see your name on top list and god forbid you actualy die and get 1 death on scoreboard
entire ragnaros alliance is like that stacking like maggots and once their lair is broken they all run away like cockroaches as usual
wsgs are complete joke on ragnaros you join get 2kgs team and on the other side is one of many ally guild premades and worst part is they dont wanna finish quick they stay on gy and farm 2kgs people non stop

WSG premade 5shadowmournes 5 healers yey look at us now we gona kill 2kgs horde even we know that is easiest thing to do we still gona act like is hard stuff
also every geared horde player on ragnaros went alliance so i dont understand their logic -

    1. Switch alliance
    2. join 95% of ragnaros population of donors
    3. que in premade with other donors cause who wana fight vs them when i can join them and we can all go together and kill non geared people
    4. wait 30 min in que
    5. finish bg in 1 min
    6. que again
    7. wait 30 min again

    rats leave sinking ship first
so your 100k HKS or more is actualy notthing
90% of those HK are dead 2kgs people and naked people so well done

btw RAGNAROS could actualy be called RICHAROS = Rich(alliance) vs Poor(horde)

  8. Well actually I help my team when I farm kills. Example, in wsg if I/we farm gy others who need honor/ap can get flag w/o any problem. In AV more HKs= win in most cases. Cant write more, lazy xd

  9. On Lordaeron Horde is getting camped and annihilated so hard in 99% BGs. Waiting WOTLK won't change anything because the Alliance is farming gear which will be useful to start lv 80 BG and farm again Horde, i already saw this case on an other server.
