1. Cataclysm client stuck in 1600x800 res, cannot type or change settings

As the title says, I recently downloaded Cata (just to fly in Azeroth again, but not have to deal with the **** changes MoP brought about) and though I finally was able to get the client to run, I'm stuck in a 800x800 (or so) aspect ratio (it says "custom" in settings) but I cannot click on anything in the settings tab to change ratios. Also, when I go to type in, my cursor is blinking and ready for logging in, but when I type I get no response. The mouse works, I'm able to click on buttons in the login screen, but no letters are typed when I try to log in and I cannot alter any video settings regarding the screen. All other settings can be changed, but not aspect ratio or resolution.

Anyone know what's going on? I'm running it on Mac OSX 10.9.5 using Wine, and Wine works perfectly for the LK and MoP clients but not the Cata one.

    - Thanks!

  2. Change the resolution through the config.wtf file that is located in your WTF folder

  3. I tried that, but even though the config.wtf file gets saved in the same location, it's not changing any of my settings and I still cannot edit anything in the "settings" tab in-game.

  4. I think my main question is, why can't I change any settings in the in-game client? Is that normal for everyone using the Cata client?

Changing the config.wtf file in the WTF folder to my desired specs doesn't change anything in game, only the text in the .wtf file.

  5. Did you un-check the read-only on the config.wtf file? Do the same for your wow.exe
