Death Knight Character Creation Level Requirement

I've searched plenty to find an answer for this, but I haven't found one, so here it goes.

In retail, in order to create a Death Knight character, you were required to have a different character already at level 55. Is that going to be the case here? I already know I want to main DK but I don't want to hit 55 if I don't have to on another character.

Yes, you will need a lvl 55 char to be able to create a DK when they release it.

Click the "Create new character" button and mouse over the Death Knight class icon. It says what Minxer said above.

this is probably a stupid question but will i still be able to create a DK if i have a lvl 55 on Warsong? Because it says you need a lvl 55 on any realm i just didnt know if thats gonna work

Gotta have lvl 55 on Lord, since the exp gain varies on different servers.
