1. Group questing

The WotLK release is the first time I tried to level with friends on this server, but it has been a huge frustration so far.
A lot of quest items only drop for 1 person, even some coming from actual group quests. This combined with long spawn timers makes the whole experience really annoying.

Is there anything that can be done about this? Maybe make the items stay on the ground after 1 person picked it up?

  2. Which items exactly? The quests in which you have to kill mobs and get 10 of their heads have never dropped quest items for both players in the party (so you have to kill 2x the amount), yet the quests which only require one specific item to be picked up should, in most cases, be dropped for both.

  3. I can't recall all the quests, but the latest example I know is "On Ruby Wings" in Dragonblight where you only get 1 Scythe of Antiok per kill and it disappears when the first person picks it up.

Hell ye, that quest gave me cancer...

  5. I've been leveling up with a friend since Wotlk came out, we did like 200+ Quests together, sometimes it's great, we both get the credit and loot, but sometimes it takes hours to do quests. If I didn't promise to level up with him, I'd ditch his *** long ago. So yeah, go Solo level, it's a lot easier option in my opinion.

Even if we're alone on some looting (object) quest, we still have to wait 5 minutes (depending on respawn) for both of us to do it, but lets face it, with the amount of people leveling, and our slow leveling process because of the grouping (forcing us to stay with rest of the people - meaning we didn't jump ahead in levels) it's a huge pain sometimes, but hey, you got Skype, a friend, so it's easy to kill time.

Also, in Q&A chat that GMs held with players, they said they checked Respawn timers and that they're working correctly, so I don't think it will change. Best thing I can tell you is, practice your fingers, spam that mouse click like a crazy person (aim at the object as well) and TIME IT. Respawn timers so far are 2min 30 sec, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes. I don't think I've seen any weird ones like 4min 20 sec, or something, so just time the respawn and spam it like crazy. We started using that method a while back and it's working quite good, but might need a new mouse soon.

  6. The thing about "kill-collection" quests (kill mobs and collect a specific item(s)) where only one quest item drops per mob even though you are in a group is the extra time spent getting the appropriate amount of drops for the entire group is "balanced" by the XP the group gets for killing all the "additional" mobs. Some quests have lower drop rates, you may have to collect 10 of something and end up going through 50+ mobs to complete it for everyone, not to mention sometimes the XP gained from killing mobs can total more than the XP reward for the quest LoL.
