Fishing and "The 1 Ring"

Hello,

I am currently making a level 10 twink and one of the BiS items is "The 1 Ring" which isn't available on the marketplace.

In retail, this item is obtained via Fishing, however I've been through 4000+ fish and not seen any sign of it. This may not be unusual given that it is an exceedingly rare drop, however in all the Fishing I've done in Orgrimmar, I also haven't seen any sign of the achievement fish "Old Crafty" (http://www.wowhead.com/item=34486/old-crafty) or any of the various held-in-off-hand gimmick fish (such as http://www.wowhead.com/item=6310/19-pound-catfish) - and this doesn't fill me with much hope...

I don't want to sit there for days waiting for a drop that will never come, however I'm torn because I know for a fact that "The 1 Ring" was obtainable via Fishing on the WotLK servers a year or two ago. Can anyone confirm that this drop actually exists on Frostwolf? And if so, where were you fishing at the time that you found it?

Any info would be much appreciated :)

To simply put it , fishing isn't working properly / its bugged, dont bother.
