1. Mana return

After an 4/1/2016 update on lordaeron, i have noticed something different about hunters mana management. While in aspect of the viper, my volley doesn't seem to return mana. It's a pretty significant nerf, especially looking at fights like sartharion, noth, gothik. Is this something confirmed in the update changelog, or is it just happening to me? If the second, does anyone else have a problem with this?

  2. While terribly inconvenient, this was a fix because AotV with Volley never restored mana on retail. That was a massive oversight on Blizzard's part and I was personally hoping this would be one of those things Warmane would never touch because of the significant quality of life improvement this gave Hunters on trash packs, but they restored it to what it was on retail and so it is what it is.

Where mana management is an issue, I'd suggest you pick up more mana talents, and try to make liberal use of Viper Sting whenever you see anything with a fairly large mana bar.

Alright, thanks for the info, mate. Cheers!

  4. guys on wotlk how can you stand playing hunter there, it seems so outdated mechanics wise, making arrows and running out of them in middle of bg, feeding pet or else it will lose damage %, drinking potions, not to mention dead zone...

  5. Because hunters are pretty fun to play and by no means easy, it's always a challenge to land traps in 3-4 different ways vs decent players, avoiding damage, and using cooldowns properly, which imo makes up for that.

  6. Volley is indeed supossed to give you mana back, each tick of volley should give you fixed amount.

It does not matter how many enemies you hit.

This bug fix was a mistake by developers. And it was changed despite no proof from retail or any other reliable source.

Lets hope it will get fixed soon.

Not at all. It's just that AotV's fixed mana regeneration continues while you're channeling Volley. That's what gives mana, and that's working as intended.

It's embarrassing how many Hunters there are crying in the bugtracker about this. Nothing needs to be proven because this is a fairly well-established fact to anyone that actually played a Hunter on retail when Mana was a thing. There are numerous sources also supporting this. Perhaps you should try providing proof that that's not how it worked. But no, of course you won't, because there are no sources that will describe it working that way, because it never did.

Outdated? Mate, you can make 24-slot quiver, thats 24k arrows, if you run out of them, it's your fault. Feeding pet to prevent damage loss? Who does that? You have a bloodthirsty talent in your pets tree which automatically brings your pets happiness to max 2 secs into a fight. No need for potions either.
