Pretty much, yes... however, Cataclysm will get updates but not more often than it gets now.
I can live with that. Just don't kill the server.
I say do whats best for the business. If running the business is better without Cata realms then dump them. If it is indeed better to keep the Cata realms then keep them.
Personally i would rather have them focus on Mop and Wotlk and dump Cata. But then again i'm not a Cata player, at least not since Moltdown so my opinion is probably biased.
Speaking like we even get updates..
What would you say if we suggested them to dump MoP? Thought so too, so on behalf of Cata community, which is unfortunately getting smaller and smaller everyday since we didn't get any update for months, please don't talk about dumping one xpac.
exactly what he said ^^^^^ really sick of MOP and Wrath players coming here and telling them to dump our expansion, you wouldn't like it if all of us did the same to you. And strangely enough for a supposedly dying expansion there sure seems to be alot of us commenting on the main thread
What is making Warmane more money.....Lorderon or Nelth? I think it is clear on what Warmane should focus its priorities on.
Considering Lordaeron's development helps 3 realms, and to a lesser extent, all other realms; Cata brings in significantly less income than the two unmentioned WotLK realms; and Cata makes up 10% of the entire server's population as opposed to WotLK 65%; yes, it is pretty clear where the focus should be.
Don't get me wrong but it's your fault that Cata makes up for "10%" of population, what do you except from people when you don't give us any updates?
Fault is irrelevant. Why would you have us deal with anything but with what we have? To ask us to work with what we used to have or what we might have is ridiculous.
Fault to me is very relevant, you expect your donators on Cata to take the hit for what you caused. We told you for months Cata was losing players due to no fixes, we told you that by ignoring it you were digging your own grave and now that you have your new shiny realm you realize it makes little to no money and instead of figuring a way for it to make money you want to close or pretty much abandon Cata so that its players will have to move to MOP and then of course donate more money to get our toons where they need to be since Cata toons and gear are useless on MOP. And lets face it Cata players are big donors
I am sorry if what i say comes off as rude but what the staff needs to understand is we have been made promise after promise for almost a year and now we find out none of it will happen, so we are upset and its to be expected
Fine. Focus on WOTLK and MoP. That's what you're doing anyway. I actually play mainly on WOTLK myself these days.
But you're talking about killing Cata. That's a whole different matter.
And the fact that it's even considered makes Warmane as a whole seem less stable and less wise a place to invest your time and money than if you just decided to let the server stay as is.
kaer stated that if cata went to mop we would get our coins refunded back into our accounts
It's really not. The Cataclysm realms having a low population compared to any of the other expansions hosted by us is nothing new. In fact, that is the way it has been since the initial launch of MoP. You complain about fixes, and we've explained why things have happened the way they did. We could've given more focus to Cataclysm instead. But then the Wrath realms would be left in the dark, even though they never really got the fixes the deserved, despite being our first and foundation expansion. There is more to this server than just one expansion, regardless of its popularity. I understand that you feel the need to apply blame, because that is what justifies your need to complain. I also understand why you complain. You complain for the same reason a lot of people do; because they want the content they play, and the server itself to improve. Essentially, it's an expression of players caring about the server, its quality and its well-being. But you have to understand, we have to make choices, and one way or another, someone is going to end up feeling like this. So the best thing we can do is to try and focus our efforts to get as much things out of the way at once as we possibly can. That is what we are doing. The fault or blame of whoever or whatever makes no difference or bearing on what we must do, and we must live with those choices and the blame that comes with them.
Try to look at it from our point of view. We are overwhelmed. We want to be able to cater better to all of the services we offer. We would be able to do that with 2 expansions. But not 3. Which is why we brought this topic up, for discussion and feedback. Kill an expansion for better development, or let one of them just wither in its current state until the distant future when we may be able to actually work on it?
