I have like 12 stacks of it through 3 levels maybe.
Do you have tailoring? I'm hardly getting any cloth, either
I have tailoring and "Northern Cloth Scavenging" perk for tailoring to increase the drop rate and amount of rate, but it doesn't help at all.
I think I've sold more than 100+ stacks on AH last weekend, the drop rate it's as it should. Maybe you don't farm in a proper place...
I have also noticed that http://www.wowhead.com/npc=32255/converted-hero drops unusually small amount of Frostweave Cloth - like one or none per kill. Those are usually the one that you need to kill to farm FW Cloth.
EDIT: Or maybe bad luck?
well i dont have that special tailoring skill and some mobs drop 5 of that cloth sometimes to me , i dont remember where, but i already made the 500 band in first aid (2 frost each) and i got alot more frostweave cloth so:
1) the skill u learn is bugged and it make mobs not to drop it (unlikely)
2) u dont know where to farm
3) the mobs drop rate bugged (like in the rhinos in sholazar basin who doesnt drop rhino meat)
just report it in the bugtracker or PM so mod here, and hope for answer
Some humanoid mobs have a crap droprate (most of the iron dwarves have sucktacular drop rates). Higher level skeletal undead seem to drop it like candy. Try undead as well.
When I was leveling from 70 to 80 I got more than 1500 frostweave cloths, so I guess there's nothing wrong with drop rate. You're farming at the wrong place, maybe.
I believe that taking the "Northern Cloth Scavenging" ability buggs the drop rate of cloth for you. Instead of giving you additional cloth, it instead bugs and prevents you from getting cloth. This was the case on MoP server, and I believe a similar issue here. I would check bugtracker, and warn people against obtaining the Northern Cloth Scavenging perk if you can confirm low drop rate.
Miners have only been waiting since TBC for nodes to respawn correctly.
Don't hold much hope.
I did 140+ quests in icecrown with northrend scavaging and didn't even get 1 stack of frostweave cloth...
Ok, i was levelign my main which was warrior since wotlk released i gathered over 2k cloths, got achi with Aid,send some to an alt and as the price was so near the vendor price i vendored everything i got, now that i leveled a mage as soon as i hit 70 i got the scavenging perk for tailoring i got like 2 stacks of cloths during 70-80 leveling and it that period i clearly killed over 500+ humanoids in every zone so this is clearly bugged.
They done something to cloth drop rate, places where i got 10stacks of cloth for short time, now i cant get 10 frostweave cloths.(onslaught island). And thats messed up ****
