If you really want druid but find it hard, just read some 3.3.5 leveling guides for FERAL druid and go from there, as I said going anything but feral is wasting time, you won't have many places in dungeons as feral (except as a tank), but leveling is A LOT LOT LOT easier, its pretty much a rogue with healing benefits and w/e tools druids have extra.
You can consider balance after level 40 if you want it so much, but even then I wouldn't really advise it, but before that its just really really a huge chore for no reason to go that route, feral is by far the best choice.
So, I recently started playing wow here, and I've never played it before really. It's pretty confusing. I got my Night Elf druid to level 14 and I die to the mobs on Darkshore :( . I was wondering what class was the most fun, has most fun spells to use? I'm thinking about warlock because the demons look neat. Might even go for Hoarde and make a Blood Elf :3
Who uses the word "neat" these days, seriously?
IMO for easy leveling go Ret Paladin, BM Hunters, or Demonology Warlock.
Two of those classes have pets that can tank and hold the best agro for you and the paladin wears mail (plate @ 40) and has self heals and cleanse, so it's incredibly easy to level these 3 classes up.
Hardest classes to level at low levels are listed below:
Rogues! Rogues absolutely suck at leveling! You have to go Combat (IMO) for the best way to kill mobs and survive.
Enh Shammy, they have self heals, but still pretty weak at low levels.
Priest, also really weak and use a lot of mana at low levels, so get use to drinking..... A LOT.
That's about it I guess.
Mages are 50/50, frost IMO is the best spec for leveling as you can snare/root a lot of mobs, plus blink out of harms way and Ice Block when needed. They just take some skill to play at low levels.
Warriors are also a 50/50 class as they wear mail (plate @ 40), but no real self heals so you better grab first add and cooking isn't a bad thing to have either, but they seem to do a reasonable amount of damage and prot is pretty viable for leveling, just make sure you use a sword and shield if you go prot.
Also keep in mind this is a hard core old school server, its suppose to be a challenge and make friends fast and keep them around!
and lastly, this is a pvp server and you haven't even made it to pvp zones yet, sad to say you're going to get killed by enemy players left and right. Many new and even long term players get ganked by enemy players, you need to be prepared to suck it up and get over it fast or I'd like to suggest for you to find another game to play. Old School WoW takes a bit of thick skin to really play and many of the players on Loraeron are long time WoW players that know what they're doing and will own you in seconds.
But good luck out there! I believe in you and know you can make it! :D
(i'm going to go out back and start digging a grave for this noob, i don't think he's going to make it to endgame)
Thanks for all the info! I was wondering about a Pally or lock, since they both seem neat. Might just roll lock cuz... ... Demons? No? Pally might be my second choice, and for hunter... Well hunters seem interesting enough, but damn aren't all their spells so dull.
Also I have absolutely no idea how 70% of the stuff works, like guilds and that auction thingy. Might have to look for a nice guild. Hmm.
