1. Choosing a class

I'm having quite a lot of trouble choosing a class I will stick with, so maybe a pros/cons of every class? Playstyle of each one? Would be appreciated, thanks

  2. Just go to each individual class forums, that is what they are there for. You can also test the classes out on Blackrock if you need to.

  3. Here, just watch the whole serious and figure it out for yourself and you're welcome:

    What expansion?

  5. Wotlk, I'm looking for pvp stuff, already got mage for pve

  6. Frost mage can be quite fun for pvp as well though.

    Also depends: range or melee?

Melee, if you're unsure, you can't go wrong with paladin obviously.

  7. range if you tend to lag a bit, helps with pulling and killing mobs and other players from a distance

  8. Well I don't usually have lag problems, I'm kinda tired of frost mage pvp (I used to play about two years ago in a small server) and I'm looking for a char I won't be bored of very soon. I had too many ones because I just couldn't stick with one and I couldn't focus on learning well one of them because I changed my mind so quickly.

So, now I'm kind of undecided between rogue and dk. Suggestions?

  9. For pvp its different and just depends on your personal taste. Of course there are some classes that are utterly useless (Dps Shaman), while some are complete faceroll (Paladin, DK), and some that are just fun (Rogue, Hunter).

For PVE, pick a class that has a lot of diversity (Druid, Shaman, Paladin, DK, Priest etc), otherwise you are at risk of quickly getting very bored of your class and end up having several alts (avoid plain classes like Mage or Rogue).

DPS Shaman is not useless, at least Elemental. 2v2 - Destro, Ele is top tier comp, 3v3 - LSD - top tier comp, BGs - Ele is cold-blood killer, while some DoT classes can get ahead in damage charts and put better pressure over long fights, Ele is actually the one who can land the kills because of great burst. Shamans are not great in 1v1, they still counter some classes but are not top tier duelers.
Enh shamans are bad for BGs, also not top tier for duels, 2v2 does well with BM hunter, also in 3v3 with Beastcleave, the only problem is that on private servers pets are doomed to have terrible bugs, thus reducing viability of those comps.

Shaman utterly useless ? O.o I remember AT 2v2 being dominated by ELE/Destro alongside Warr/Paly
In BGs he can just nuke anyone in sight.
    Dueling is also pretty fine.

  12. Dk if you like melee pwn, sham if you like caster pwn, hpal if you are gifted to give a ****, hunter ??? Profit

Yes when combined their burst can be useful.

Any range class can just nuke anyone in sight, thats what range dps does.
Shamans can duel yes, but other classes has a stronger potentional to do it better (easier).
