Possible Warlock imp attack bug?

I just downloaded the game and quickly made a Warlock Belf. I summoned my Imp and tried ordering it to attack a mana wyrm. every time I licked on the whirm or tried to tell the Imp to attack it, it told me "You're facing the wrong way." While i still was able to cast my spells. I wasn't facing the wrong way, the imp either. Is the problem with me or with the game?
