and there have been other threads just like it that a moderator has come along and said it's just not going to happen, followed by the thread being locked. So if you think some silly add on is going to change their minds, you are dead wrong!
Lordaeron is a hardcore server for hardcore players and RDF just isn't hardcore enough for them.

I really just don't understand the hype regarding this add-on... at all. People act as though this is a completely revolutionary initiative, and as a matter of fact, I see more people spamming global with links to threads on this forum regarding the add-on, than the "junk", you proclaim global chat is filled with. Additionally, this thread is completely superfluous and I can not possibly fathom why it has not been moved or deleted, since it merely links to an existing thread.

You will only see those players, who search for the same dungeon as you do. It's a little inconvinient atm, but once it gets an update to allow multiple listing and searching, it will be a hugh advantage.
Global is filled with so much unnessecarry information. I don't need to know how many ppl are looking for dungeons I do not look for. If you dont have your eyes on you chat for like 10 seconds you can't read what your party or guild wrote, because ppl keep spamming in global.
With this addon i can list myself for a dungeon and look who is listed for those dungeons. If there are ppl it's great. If not, they will list for dungeons and can then see, contact and invite me.
While I had to either spam global myself or keep reading all the stuff i don't care about all the time while playing, with this addon I can simply list myself and search for dungeons once and after that wait if somebody with the same preference lists and searches the addon.
How can you not see an advantage, when we talk about constant ongoing effords on the one and a simple single action on the other hand?
Edit: Regarding a thread linking to a thread: The amount of ppl using it will make or break the addon. Many ppl were looking for a RDF or at least something similar, but they wont check the addon-forum on a regular basis.Edited: February 5, 2016

If I may, i'd like to answer that for you. First off I partially agree with you and as the OP I can' safely say it should've been deleted. Why? Because when I created this thread I created it on General Discussion with the intent of helping players that might be traveling by and not even in-game at the moment that might not even know the add on exist. I think with in the first day and a half it was on GD it had zero replies but it obviously seem to be working as it did have nearly 200 views, well that was til some moderator moved it for some reason.
Such a shame really as the add-on isn't exclusive to Lordaeron, as a matter of fact I can safely tell you it does work on Ragnaros for sure.
But yes, it was created on GD then moved here for some reason, I don't know. I would've preferred if they would've just deleted it and moved on. =/

Because, while the add-on thread itself belongs in its own section and not here, it's still pertinent to Lordaeron players. Advertising it in General Discussions (where it was before) was too much, but is acceptable here, which is why I did the moving. If you have an issue with the thread, simply don't open it.
But if the thread creator wants it deleted, I can quickly arrange that.
PS: It working on some other server is irrelevant - other servers have RDF enabled already anyways. The add-on only has a point to be in Lordaeron and was only create to try to help with a design choice we made for this specific server.

More people need to use it though, shame not many using it, but at 80, there seem to be quite a few. Lower levels however suffer more from the lack of it.
I keep a macro to spam it from time to time.

Anyways guys, i just wanted you to know that i put in a message to The Obnoxious One and have asked him to delete this thread as i do feel it takes away from the author of the add on's thread and I didn't mean anyone any disrespect and like i had said before, this thread was on General Discussion to help direct people to the Authors thread here on The Lordaeron Forums. With 2 threads here now about OGF, i see no need for my thread to remain up.

Personally I've never used the addon and I doubt I will. I have liked the fact that forming groups without RDF actually let's you select the individuals you play with. With the addon you unfortunately can't as far as I know.
