Heirloom gear and vote points...

Hi all,
I am new to Warmane and play on the Deathwing server.
I have been looking through the guides and a lot of people mention getting heirloom gear with vote points.
I looked through the market place and i do not see any heirloom gear in there. Have these items been discontinued to buy off the market place with vote points?

There were changes on the store a long time ago, part of these changes were reducing items available to enhance the gameplay.
