If 226 necks are not removed, what about Midsummer Festival 232 cloaks?

First off, I believe the 226 necks being obtainable was an oversight which will be corrected. But, if they are not then what happens when Midsummer Festival arrives and Lord Ahune drops 232 items?

If you decide to not remove 226 necks then it's logical that 232 cloaks will also remain available to players. This goes against the whole "hardcore, progressive" theme of the realm, to give away top tier item for little effort. What if Ulduar isn't released by Midsummer Festival? Will everyone have 232 items before they are available from raids? What about the people who missed the world event?

It's logical for various reasons to not remove the necks. The biggest of which that many players have already ditched their old necks. However, players aren't ditching their cloaks right now, so no, let's not jump to conclusions about future events.
