To put it simple way, yes Alliance are winning more in BG's, but also not all the time. There are times when we can lose aswell, for example SOTA is BG that is more or less dominated by Horde. As for the rest, I run BG's quite some time every day, have to say that not always Horde PM's win and there are times when even Alliance ones lose. So in conclusion, rather than saying how bad PvP is and complaining about it, make/join PvP guilds and simply play.
People look at this topic very superficially, and it's really not something you can answer easily.
There are a number of circumstances you need to take into consideration before really evaluating the opposing factions.
Please do not interpret this as me bashing a certain faction. I am not trying to push my own agenda with this, I am simply stating what I wholeheartedly believe to be true based on the great deal of time I have spent here.
They are:
1. [FACT] The people you find in the morning are not the same people you find at night.
2. [FACT] Queue times on Horde are FAR shorter than on Alliance.
3. [FACT] Horde can reliably queue 10 or usually more people with AV Enabler and get into a BG in little to no time whereas Alliance are usually constrained to queueing with 5 or even less people. I've made AV Enabler premades before but I've stopped simply because you end up waiting over an hour for just one bg.
4. [FACT] Strand of the Ancients STRONGLY favour the Horde as you tend to find many more BiS hunters there given that entering a demo buffs damage disproportionately. They can easily one-shot people before they are even able to reach the demo.
5. [FACT] Many times when you get IoC and AV, they start with 15v15 and only becomes full after the initial fight in the Field of Strife.
All of these circumstances have resulted in a very wobbly playing field. What I've usually found to be true, however, is that Horde need a VERY big premade in order to be competitive. You often find that they lose most BGs when it's a pug group but this isn't really anyone's fault. The way the game works and is partly to blame.
Contrarily, queuing as an Alliance player is frustrating. I've often spent 30+ minutes in queue only to get a 12v11 IoC that ends in 5 minutes because there are not enough players.
This also results in a change of attitude with regards to how seriously the bg is taken. If the queue times are short it's easy to just play several in a row quickly and get honor irrespective of the outcome. However, if you have to wait 10, 20 or maybe even over 30 minutes for a BG then you're likely to want to play better in order to get as much honor as possible = Alliance will play better overall.
There's also the fact that most of the top 3v3 and 2v2 ladder are Alliance (human master race) and so the average skill level of Alliance players is naturally higher.
There are of course exceptions to these observations so please don't interpret this as me saying this is ALWAYS the case.
Given the circumstances I've found that hosting miscellaneous guild events, 3v3 skirmishes, world pvp is more enjoyable than waiting ages for a BG.
Just thought I'd offer my two cents.

That was a quarter. L2math.
wtf did u just call my mother fat?
We should incorporate some cross fraction guild PvP events, just to living up the server a bit. Only so much wpvp some of us can do in STV ;)
Agree, why do ppl cry so much about losing, cant win every Battle. Its just FUN :)
i keep reading that Alliance Qs are too long . but i am curious , how long does it take you to go into a bg SOLO ? ofc it will take longer with 10-15 man Pm. so that point is invalid
Well, solo que is like 10 minutes average and I don't even remember when we tried to que 10-15 premades....We usually que as 5 and then it's like 10-15 but sometimes go up to 30minutes.
i find this hard to believe since there are times that i find the same ally in a few bgs in a row .now if you re talking about times that there arent enough bgs online ye it will take you longer since i have 5-10 minutes Q as solo
well it's not always like that of course, but try to que around 12pm-19pm times and see what happens, only time i find fast que is after midnight. Other than that que is rather terrible.
