Hey there, usually it takes a couple tries before you choose the perfect class for you because just reading about it isn't enough. Although, you can't go wrong, all classes are fit in their own way.
So, you want to roll a new character, but you don't quite know what class to go with? Well, let me be of service. I can't give you a perfect match, based only on your playing style, but perhaps I can give you an idea of what class might be a good fit. I'll even let you know what races are available to that class from either faction. Just answer a few simple questions, and I'll point you in the right direction.
1- Are you a new player to World of Warcraft, or do you already have characters?
Ok breathe! There's no cause for panic here - WoW is supposed to be fun, not stressful!
Here are a few key things to know about choosing a class.
1. There is no wrong decision. You can always re-roll for a new class.
2. There are 3 major roles in-game: tanking, healing, and dealing damage.
- All classes are able to play a damage-dealing role.
- Some classes are limited to only playing a damage-dealing role.
- Some classes are able to play as two or more roles, depending on what specialization you choose.
1.2-Lol I'm a pro...just got bored with my other 5 max-levels, so I'm looking for a new challenge. /flex
Alright, well for you I suppose this is more for the entertainment value, so by all means, go right ahead & enjoy!
See if your personality matches you with the character you most enjoy, or maybe it'll point you in a whole different direction!
2- Would you most like to protect others from harm, heal your companions while they fight for you, or be one of the fighters?
Wow... not easing into this, huh?
Give your answer by choosing a tab.
Remember, there's no wrong answer here - pick what fits your personality closest to find what class might be the best fit for you.
Ok, you've still got a couple of choices, so I need to ask one more question.
Will you strike fear into the hearts of your enemies by becoming a fearsome bear, relying on the training of ancestors, or by wielding the power of the light?
I agree. A tool is nothing if the one who wields it is weak.
As a tank, will you strike fear into the hearts of your enemies by becoming a fearsome bear, relying on the training of ancestors, or by performing dark magics?
