Hey guys! How is everyone doing? :) I am a newbie here seeking some advice on which class would be best for a new player to start out with. I mainly like to PvE 99.9% of the time. Started playing retail around the start of WoD. I still feel pretty newbie lol. Friends wanted me to give WOTLK a try. They said I should see how WoW really was back in the day. Please let me know what you guys think I should play as a new player :)

Oh my god, you poor, poor child. I feel so sorry for you. Warlords of Dreanor is a horrible WoW experience to have and from the bottom of my heart all I can say is I am truly sorry that WoD has to be your first WoW experience.
Anyways, on topic. Playing a class especially a class that was designed back when mmo's were meant to be more RPG and less facebook game all classes one way or another were a bit tough to pick up on and hard to master. I really wouldn't focus to many on which one would be the easiest to pick up on as Hunter and Warlocks have pets that can take damage for you, but it truly doesn't mean it'd be the class for you. If anything I'd strongly suggest for you to find a class that really represents you and how you feel towards the game. Like what kind of play style do you wanna play, melee or caster? Do you want a pet or not? Would you be interested in Tanking or Healing later on, etc etc. I started out as a priest 10yrs ago and i'm still very fond of this class to this very day and i'd suggest you do the same. Toy with each class as you must, but truly find something you connect with and you'll be happier longer then if you were to play something that we suggest as our suggestions might be wrong and misguide you.
Anyways, that's all I have to say and I hope it does help to guide you as there is no right answer to your question, as they are just opinions.

He will probably get pissed off and stop all together before he hit lvl 40 and get shadowform lol, since priests are the hardest class to level.
But I do agree with you on the same page that, I started as a Warlock on molten back in 2009 and it's still my favorite class.
But, if you are for raiding I would suggest goin a class you can do multiple things with such as healing, dps or tanking, Paladins, Shamans, Priests, and Druids.
I can give you a little help about the classes and their difficulty.
Hardest class goes imo as this - Feral druid - Combat Rogue - Enhancement Shaman - Demonology Warlock - Frost Death Knight - Fury Warrior - Shadow Priest - Retribution Paladin - Marksman Hunter - Fire mage. I didnt include Tank or Healing talents since most people that starts of fresh shoulden't really jump into tanking or healing first thing they do. These classes also have many different talent trees so in a way, Shamans wich has one of the hardest talent trees to master (enhancement) also have Elemental wich imo is in the top 3 easyest talents to play, Same with druids "balance" talents and Warlocks "Destruction" etc.
All in all, Saghha is absolutely right about go with what you want, dont listen to others on what class to pick. Go with what feels right for you.

Oh wow! Thank you so much guys! (Wish they had people like this on the retail servers :P ) To be honest I think I am a mage fan. Gotta love magic :D. Favorite element is ice so I think I will try frost mage out. Im all about the ranged dps life <3

Priest isnt hard for leveling, who said that you must level as shadow?
Here is my build and with this, I dont have problems with mana, basically I can kill like 10 mobs, because I just use PW:S> Holy Fire>Smite (spaming) and sometimes finish with wand. After kill Spirit Tap gives me mana. This is best spec for leveling because Holy Fire and Smite are cheapest mana coast spells.
Talents:
10-12: Spirit Tap 3/3
13-17: Holy Specialization 5/5
18-22: Divine Fury 5/5
23: Desperate Prayer
24-26: Improved Renew 3/3
27: Healing Focus 1/2
28-29: Searing Light 2/2
30-31: Holy Reach 2/2
32: Healing Focus 2/2
33-37: Spiritual Guidance 5/5
38-39: Surge of Light 2/2
40-44: Twin Disciplines 5/5
Stack spell power and you will finish mob with 3x Smites.Edited: March 3, 2016

Solid, allthough I find leveling easy on every character but Priest is still imo "hardest" of all 10 classes. I should have tried spirit tap tho, why didnt I think of that when I had to drink for 30 secs after every single mob XD
