Here in lays the point. The community is losing faith in the GM staff to take appropriate actions based on the rules laid out to the community. If people aren't going to be banned for their actions, then players who made the report at least deserve the common courtesy of a response in regards to why or why not action was taken.

The community as a whole feels left in the dark in regard to issues that impact the enjoyment for many people on the server. Lack of action is what makes people end up leaving. Although I'm sure this pleases some people in the community, what you end up left with is a server reputation of "pay to win" and "easy to get away with exploiting and hacking".

Not only that. Not giving an answer to those who actually lose a little bit of their play time to report this kind of cases just opens up a question: So we can live by our own rules as players? Like an anarchy?

Also other point: I'm not stating that there is. Not stating that there isn't. But a question raises in the head of several players, with some doubts that I can't condemn them for having; Is there any kind of favoritism to some players/guilds?

I truly believe that this doesn't exist. But I've seen this same questions rounding around several guilds or players. The absolute silence worries a lot of the members of this community - I'm proud of belonging to that same group. That means that me, my guild and my friends are not alone in this fight and doubt.

Some of you are delusional and want this fairy tale land where there's as many GMs as players so everyone can be watched and then oh let's program something like VAC and then every raid must be watched always and holy cow are some of you even remotely serious?

Private warcraft server with limited resources, leave these people alone from your insane anti-cheat crusades and let them work on stuff that actually matters like proper scripting and bug fixes. Stop expecting everything you report to be poured over like it's material evidence in a capital murder trial. Zomgs you made a report and a GM didn't deliver an 8,000 word response with a promise of harsh and swift justice for those who dared zip across your screen for half a second to go farm lichbloom or hit a mining node. It doesn't mean they ignored what you did but A)they don't owe you an explanation for their recourse on the matter and B)people's punishments are their own, mind your own business.

And before anyone gets cute: never been banned, don't condone hacking, don't hack, just not insane enough to sit here complaining about the very few GMs these servers have not being ultra-vigilant robots swing banhammers at anyone and everyone.

No, I missed it because I was too worried about making my next post where I try to out-hardcore everyone by deleting my toon when someone asked me to do something illegal in a raid. The horror, right?

So get this, this ret, the jerk, he JoJs LK, right? Well so I says I can't have this so I screenshot it and you know I've got Fraps going so first I dance in defile to wipe the raid then after I gkick him I make 2 tickets and a forum post to get him banned. After that I disbanded the guild because that was tainted and then I went ahead and uninstalled warcraft too because hey, someone might think I'm a cheater, too.

In this exact moment I believe most of the people here are not thinking you're a cheater but something else. It's starts with a J and ends with a K.

That sounds like an awful idea for the Warmane Community. That would lead into so many power trips and ridiculous bans going out. I don't even want to imagine that.

well if u think that waiting for gm's actions (ban) for like half a year and further is better idea stick its up to u. at least on cs-go this works like miracle (that player with "overwhatch" cant just ban anyone, he should have replay for that, and even we he faked replay the person whom was banned can lift if he have solid proofs of non-cheating) just look at old at system where u can actually browse those replays. its still a better option then hirind like 1k gms to monitor cheaters/scripters/exploiters (who cannot be auto-banned by sentinel cuz of bad state of the system)

This thread isn't about bugged content in a specific raid, but the exploitation of it. Read the rest of the thread, although ICC JoJ has been the prime example, it also addresses other types as well. If you're too lazy to read it all, then don't post your own opinion or inject your own bias without understanding the clear picture of what's already been discussed / addressed.

I'd suggest you report this on the bug tracker or see if it's been fixed on Lordaeron. Then at least you'll have the comfort of knowing if it'll be fixed when the new core migrates.

I agree. This thread is supposed to be about exploit handling but JoJ and a specific guild seem to keep coming up. Not sure why people keep trying to turn the thread in this direction.

I guess there's no difference between these 2 subjects, or at least maybe in the eyes of players who might have something to fear?

We don't need 1k GMs OR players with GM powers. What we need are GMs and administration that don't ignore popular and blatant cheating.
