1. Stuck in combat.

This isn't a bug report per-say, as I know it's already been reported. I've been playing the last couple days and noticed something that I loathed when I played well over a year ago. Constantly getting stuck in combat while playing as a mana-based character, meaning you're unable to drink after every few fights can seriously impede on gameplay quite fast. The thing I'm worried about is how long this has been a problem, this happened 24/7 pre-moltdown when I used to play. I just want to know why it hadn't taken priority over other things that are optional to gameplay when this directly impacts on the gameplay of every player in a negative way.

  2. Because it's not a bug. It never was a bug, it never will be treated as a bug. If you're in combat, it means you're in combat with something - it's as simple as that. Take that from someone who has played this game for nearly 11 years now, mostly on private servers. If you're in combat, then there is one thing you can do:

Find the bastard that has been keeping you in combat and murder them. Or you can die, or use Hearthstone. But the one above is usually the easiest choice. You have to understand that "combat" doesn't just happen like that. If you are in combat, then you are in combat with SOMETHING. There are two common cases why this happens. Either a caster NPC ran away and is now sitting somewhere hidden, not scripted to run to you when they're LoSed or are oom, in which case you just have to find said caster NPC and kill it. Or it can be an NPC pet, like a voidwalker from one of those bandit warlocks in Tanaris or a succubus from the warlocks near Booty Bay. Pets tend to not get reset when their master is reset, so this results in you remaining in combat with the pet. Find the pet's master, kill them and the pet will despawn and you'll leave combat. Really simple, you just have to think logically. I learned this myself by asking a very simple question: "why am I in combat". Haven't you ever asked this yourself??? Put this question, find the answer, and you'll leave combat. Dying makes you leave combat guaranteed because nothing can be in combat with you when you're dead. Using Hearthstone also almost always helps because you're basically zoning away.

  3. Because it's not a bug.
Yes. It is. Even if an enemy NPC was to get stuck behind something whilst a player was fleeing, they are supposed to reset just like any other mob, not stay targeting that person as they then continue to traverse the entirety of a zone, still to be stuck in combat with an enemy that should not have kept combat active that long. That is the definition of a bug, and saying 'use a hearthstone' or 'just die' is even more proof. If you are having to do one of those things to escape combat, it is a bug.
