Wintegrasp marks of honor

Does some1 know if these marks wil be flushed away same as honor/arena points during new patch ?

Why would you remove Emblems of Heroism for example when it updates to Emblem of Conquest?
Will you be able to remove all the Wintergrasp Commendations? As far as I know they are soulbound by account and you can leave them in your mailbox.

In case you are removing the Emblems of Heroism/Valor for the possibility of people saving them to buy epic uncut gems, will you also remove the epic uncut gems which players are having right now?

Badges of Justice (TBC currency) did not get removed after updating to Wotlk, why would that kind of currency suddenly be removed after an update?

What is the logic of removing emblem of heroism/valor? If i farmed 100 heroics now and saved them for ToC path and epic gems, why should i do it again? Not like heroics is getting harder with new content patches.

Some questions about this statement

Will there be the "new patch" at season end, 20th of april? I havent seen an official release date yet.

Since its not blizzlike to remove badges, why is it planed? Just for the grind? Dungeons will only get easier, you cant even buy new stuff with it exept the epic gems that were introduced with patch 3.2 (TOC patch, not Ulduar). Instead of storing badges players can store as much titan-ore as they like. Are you planning on removing ore too or maybe other mats, if they can be used for future items?

There was no need for a reset by blizzard, since „better“ pve-badges are released for the new gear and the honor cap of 75k is only one item anyway. Remember, Blizzard did this for a good reason. Players get pissed if you remove their stuff without a clear reason. The only exception on retail were arenapoints, since they were not capped and the item progress was comparable.


What about stone shards or these items that grant 2k honor by using it? Are you planing to remove every pvp-enchant bought by honor or stone shards, just because it could be used later? The very reason for these useable honor items is giving honor to twinks and mainly STORE SOME EXTRA POINTS for the new season. Its not like players can buy every item with their honor and will never do battlegrounds again. Players like to prepare for new content with, for example, reaching honor cap to buy the first item faster.


Removing any badges besides arenapoints is questionable at best. Its only purpose is to slightly increase the grind at the beginnung of a patch at cost of players discontent by removing what they spended their time on and diminishing their options to prepare for the next patch/arena season. Players are hyped at the beginning of a new patch anyway, so an increase of activity compared to not removing old currencies is unlikely. Blizzard did many mistakes, but not removing all badges was clearly not one of them. This would be warmanes alone.

It would be nice if
1. players would get informed about the removal-plans of the staff
2. this plan in particular is looked at again, since it would harm the realm more than it would help

I can understand the honor and arena points, but resetting badge currency makes no sense to me. What is the reasoning behind resetting badges when such a thing was never done during retail?
