I am playing hunter for some months mainly pvp, now and I am 522 ilvl. This is actually my first time even playing wow so almost all I learned about the game is from the internet and my guild mates. I basically did echants, sockets and reforging based on a few online guides for 5.4.8. pvp MM hunter and almost every guides states that the stat priority is crit>mastery>haste - so I did the same. Today most of the hunters from my guild said that MM should have the stats set to crit>haste>mastery because apparenlty mastery is somehow bugged and that it only encreases DMG from pets instead a chance of doing an extra attack with 80% DMG. Can anyone confirm this or has some other build they would like to share?
I also heared that when geared enough, some PvE hunter even do Haste>crit>mastery, but you need to have enough stats first.
MM mastery does not increase pet damage, nor should it, I'm not sure where your guildmates heard that.
MM Mastery is called Wild Quiver, and it gives your attacks a chance for the double attack, that is it. It is working as it should (I just tested it).
tested a month ago ro so and i'm getting wildquiver just from autoshot and steady shot, not aimed and chimaira... Don't know itf it's supposed to be like this but in that case haste is better than mastery.

Just tested this too.
Both Aimed shot and Chimera Shot proc Wild Quiver.
