i would like to get keybinding advice keybinding advice

hello, im a new player and i have a question about keybinding the shift key. i tried to bind it but couldn't by just pushing shift and whatever other key. but i saw people talking about using shift for binding. am i just doing something wrong? or do i need a addon or something?

You don't need an addon, it works for me and idk why it wouldn't for you. Just go escape > keybindings > click on something to keybind > hold shift + E for example, and that should be enough.

i figured it out, turns out it was just misinformed by someone else mixed with a fluke. ty for answering tho

You can keybind them through the default settings, although it is way easier to keybind using an action bar addon such as bartender or dominos.

And if I remember correctly, you can't use ALL the binds on default, such as shift+scroll up and other stuff related to mouse binding (MB4/5) etc.
So I'd suggest using Bartender because it makes it way easier.
