One of the best descriptions I've read so far.

More and more attention going into Vanilla servers.
Community backlash, major youtubers talking about it, twich talking about it, news talking about it...
Can't wait to see Blizzard's response. I still believe there are good people there... And I will probably get disappointed big time
They'll be lucky if they don't get sued for real.
But community and stuff :<
But like seriously... Check twitter, youtube, reddit... Everything seems to just get bigger and bigger since they delete all the posts on the US forums and lock everything on the EU forums (wow, US getting more censorship than EU, who would've thought).
It just keeps growing.
(that's what she said)

I haven't been keeping up with anything WoW related since early MoP. Is some server getting busted or something?
Wew lad the memes are coming in hot

Yeah, they shut down the biggest Vanilla server, which was run by volunteers who didn't accept donations. The hardware and hosting were paid by the community directly (money never went through the team).
Since then, people have been crying all over the social medias, twitter, facebook, reddit, forums, youtube, twitch, everything, including news websites like pcgamer and forbes for some reason... Big youtubers like Jontron, Crendor, Asmongold, Boogie, Nixxiom twitch streamers like Chance and Preach, etc have also been vocal about it.
There's also a petition with 65k+ signatures.
Also dank memes and videos and more videos.

Yeah, I'd play again if Blizzard started a Vanilla server. I played on a Vanilla server two years ago and it was fun. Sure, it took me 6 hours to get from level 1 to level 10 but it was fun. It was a lot more fun than jerking off in WOTLK, Cata, MoP and Warlords.
Technically, we already have Blizzard's response.
"You think you want it, but you actually don't."
Just chill brah, There's a million servers that got closed before. WoW is old to be honest. Retail sucks and unless you're autistic, you'll eventually get bored of the same old content. I love me some WOW, it's without a shade of doubt my favorite game you play online of any genre of all time in the entire universe. There's no game in this world that brought me so much joy as WoW, but people need to let go. Nostalrius is all about dat nostalgia which is fine, but it's in Blizzard's power to close it. They closed it for some ******ed reason I bet, but come on just let it die.
Why would I just let my favorite game die.
Once I'm bored of it, sure. But right now, it's what I sink most of my free time in.
And I'm making a fuss about it because the backlash has never been this big.
Find a new hobby fam or find a new game to play. Wow was never better than TBC and all TBC servers are bad or don't exist. I can't get back into WoW, maybe that's why I don't care about Nostalrius getting closed. I never liked vanilla either
what what in the butt?
Your current hobby is playing on borrowed time on private servers that may or may not be closed soonish. Play an official game.
