arena season started or starts when realms merge?

You can consider this as a mid-season, the real season will start after the merge and will be 3months, while on other realms will be 4 counting thisone.
So at the moment, you can play for gear up, nothing else as when the servers will be merged there will be:
- Mmr reset
- Ratings reset.
