I was wondering what add-ons you use to make the gameplay nicer and better. I came back to this from retail WoD and god have things changed. What I need help with is:
1. my quest mobs' name doesnt show up as it does in modern expansions. This is a BIG issue because I dont even know what to kill this way...
2. No raidframes?! Im a healer, and having a party UI in a BG instead of a raid one is a slap in the head. I need help with this one badly.
Theres many many more issues I have but these 2 are main. I'd really appreciate if anybody can help me, plus add your own ideas what add-ons you use and why you use them. Thatd be great
1. Your quest mobs names doesn't show up where? Like on the quest tracker? or are you talking about the names on top of the mobs? You can download questhelper, if that's what your looking for. Zygor's leveling addon is fine help as well.
2. Personally I like Grid.
3. Gladius for pvp. Pitbull for unitframes. (Grid for raid frames.) Bartender for bar frames. Auctioneer for auction house. Quartz for castbar. Bagnon for bags. Atlasloot for drooling.
1. I can't help much with leveling as I went old school for my warmane experience. Google searched "wotlk questing zones by level" and then rinsed the content.
2. As far as healer UI goes, I can make a few suggestions: Name plates are where it's at for healing in pvp (especially BGs/WG), so I suggest the TidyPlates mod to make name plates more visually appealing. Now most UI mods seem to do relatively the same thing, so I chose Shadowed Unit Frames (suf). The reason is because suf is packed with features while still retaining a light PC load. Some examples of features are that you can see incoming heals from you and your raid, as well as your hot ticks, live on your party and raid frames. You can set visual indicators for members within range of you, visual indicators for debuffs that you can dispel, and aggro indicators to pop off that pre-heal and save a wipe. There are loads of other awesome things and customization you can do with suf, so it's definitely worth noting.
Honestly, try a few different mods out, you'll eventually find your favorite. Good luck, and have fun!
I don't really understand your first issue, but I would recommend Carbonite for questing.
Other addons that can make the game experience better are Grid, Pitbull unit frames, auctioneer, tidyplates, bartender, bagnon, and titan panel. You can check the addon section for these downloads.
If all else fails you can google the quests or addons you are looking for. I've never not ran into a problem I couldn't solve with google when dealing with this game.
