I just wonder if it would be more work then something like Skywind... do you think it would be worth it tho, new content in a good old engine?
I think it would be a massive project, not something that I would do unless I had loads of spare time and a bit more motivation. I'm already aware of a few major changes in the clients that would make it much harder than adding a special map and npcs, but I've also not spent enough time looking into it to say those are the only issues. Then again, there could be an easier method that I've overlooked.

I have a friend who's been modding the GTA San Andreas PC engine to load his own content and scripts, he's been working on it for over a year now but it's definitely an interesting project.

Cool, but that would get tiresome quickly. It would be cool if it had some sort of seasons affecting the entire zones. It would be really cool to see Stranglethorn Valley and Tanaris under snow on winter and Winterspring/Dun Morogh with the ice melted during summer. Hell, even Northrend would look cool in summer.

As for the OP subject, I'd rather see the other way around. Being able to play Vanilla, TBC and Lich King with all the graphics from WOD. WOD graphics may suck, but they are much better than the original trilogy xpac, please.
