Question about donating

I've been trying to search but most stuff is old. If I donate for 10 coins to get queue skip, what is the best thing to spend on to help me out early on game? If there's nothing, I'll just get a random companion or something, but is there like certain bags to get to help boost my inventory early on or no level items that would help a mage out? Any other ideas?

16-slot bags go for, I believe, around 7g. Mounts are cheap, it's the riding skill that costs a few gold.

I bought a mount, mainly because it was 5 coins and I just wanted queue skip. If you're gonna take up mining or herbalism to earn some gold, it might be worth spending 6 coins on one of the profession bags. Don't know what price and availability is like on Lordaeron, but on retail I seem to remember they were something daft like 50-100g on my server.

Buy a pet that you can sell on the AH for gold. The Proto-Drake Whelp would likely be your best bet. I would strongly advise never to buy any bags (others than possibly the 36 slot one) or low level armor (unless Tier 3 gear) from the shop as it is never worth it.
